Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Everything nice and easy to find, nice relaxing area. Friendly check-in. Nice view from the area. There is food available on certain days on site and also a little forgot shop which I think was quite clever idea. I think this is a ideal location for families and pet lovers to take a break.

Disliked No WiFi available and I had no signal. You can get signal by entrance (O2 network). I also didn't like the main road noise, it's not over powering nor did it affect sleep but for me I wasn't used to it so was more noticeable.

From the manager: Sorry but
We have been quoted £3000+ for Wi-Fi site coverage and as most phone providers for those who require it mobile dongles are available please ask your provider. The lack allows children a time away from screens and mobile phones which for some is a blessing and we don't offer Wi-Fi cost prohibitive see about section on our page
So happy you enjoyed our site and we hope you visit again soon, best wishes and happy camping with safe travels

Liked Everything, the owners and all other campers where extremely friendly and welcoming. The site is really well set out and kept to a lovely standard and high quality, lots of effort put in by the owners and staff. My daughter made some lovely friends, felt like a little community. Location is great too, 5 minutes from everything you could want or need. Would certainly visit again.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Lovely site nice flat pitch. Electric supply was great. Nice little play area for the children. Great location only 5 minutes into Rhyl. Two pubs in walking distance and a lovely waterfall (5min drive). Kids played until 10 pm each night felt very safe. Great stay definitely helped by all the other lovely families camping on the site at the time

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked I liked everything about this campsite. The lady was very nice and gave us the printed sheet with everything we needed to know on it. Clear signs on the camp. Camp very clean and tidy. My grandchildren had a lovely time on the small play area with other children. A lovely lady from the next pitch helped me get the tent up when the kids ran off to have fun instead of helping.

Disliked The only problem was finding the camp with sat nav. My sat nav said it was on the left when it was on the right.. I can see there were flags up which have almost worn out . Maybe something on a pole as it is all hedges with a gap for the site..

Local attractions

Time to hit the coast? Take your bucket and spade to the sandy beaches of Rhyl or Prestatyn (both 10 minutes’ drive), get over to Llandudno (half an hour) to walk on the pier and ride the Great Orme tramway, or continue to Conwy (half an hour) to explore the castle. For rural walks you can stay local for the 15-minute stroll to Dyserth Falls, climb the peaks of the neighbouring Clwydian Range or dip your toes into Snowdonia National Park (40 minutes’ drive). The pretty pathways of Bodnant Garden (half an hour) are well worth a wander too. This being Wales, you’re never far from a castle – the turrets of Rhuddlan Castle (five minutes) are the closest, but TV fans may like to drop in at Gwrych Castle (15 minutes) to see where I’m A Celeb was staged.
