Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Space, friendliness, location

Disliked Having to constantly look for bins to dispose of rubbish & bring recycling home as no bins on site. A little pricey for a place with zero facilities other than fresh water and black waste.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked This was my first camping trip using my star gazing telescope unfortunately the moon out here was so bright but the site is sat in a most picturesque part of the Brecons, I had the whole field to myself and Martin the owner was most friendly and accommodating, highly recommended and will go back again when the skies are clear

Liked Stunning location, such an idyllic setting in the Dingle field. Owner was very accommodating, changing our pitch to a more sheltered field. Best campsite we have ever stayed at.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked The owner was very nice and very accommodating.
Lovely views.
Peaceful campsite.

Disliked Facilities are minimal, however as long as you come prepared, it's perfect for a short stay over.
Once showers and toilets are installed, I would happily stay for a week!

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked We have stayed here twice now and have had an amazing experience both times. The site is big enough for you to be completely away from other campers which is perfect for the dogs. There is a lovely walk down to the village pub which takes about 20 minutes. This is as close to wild camping as it gets and we absolutely love it. The views are incredible and if you are lucky to have a clear night the stars are amazing. The owners are both lovely too and will do anything they can to accommodate. Can’t wait to come back!

Disliked Nothing!

Local attractions

How to get the blood pumping first? Well, Llangorse Lake (20 minutes’ drive) will surely make your heart rate rocket, thanks to its activity centre. Canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing are some of the ways to get out on the water, and those of you looking for a lighter activity can hire out a dinghy, rowing boat or pedalo (or go fishing, if that's your kind of thing). Topping mountain peaks may already be on your to-do list, but if not, Pen y Fan (an hour and five minutes) should be high on your list. The mountain is the tallest peak in Wales and there's a four-mile circular walk to the top (a great photography spot). Down this direction but a lot lower down (underground, to be precise) there are the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (45 minutes) too. With all the natural formations around – and that includes the local waterfalls at Pwll y Wrach nature reserve (10 minutes) – it’s easy to forget about the towns, but you won’t want to miss out on the Georgian Crickhowell (25 minutes) and its Norman motte and bailey castle, Talgarth’s working watermill (10 minutes) or Brecon’s (20 minutes) markets and cathedral.
