Liked The site is really spacious with flat pitches. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. We had an issue with the van starting and they went out of their way to help us - a big thank you for that. The facilities are modern and clean - no complaints at all. All in all a great stay!

Liked Beautiful site. Met at the gate by owners and shown directly to pitch.
Lovely facilities, including a family bath room to make showering the kids a bit easier, although they were most excited by the ‘outside shower’.

Lots of space for kids to play, great communication throughout our stay, owners even checked in with us early hours during thunder storm. Ended up extending our stay by two days as we enjoyed it so much.
Will definitely be returning here :)

Liked Lovely owners who were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. As for the site, pitches were clear and flat and facilities were very clean. We spent two gloriously sunny days of peace and quiet mixed with a bit of culture at Powis Castle. About the only noise at night was the hooting of tawny owls. Wonderful. Thank you Trinio Camping

Liked Everything! The owners are so informative and chatty, totally uplifting! The site had such a positive vibe. The site and toilets were immaculate. I was concerned as it was advertised as ‘basic’ - it’s undersold itself and was a pleasant surprise on arrival. The river is a 2 min walk away with a gorgeous view. Will definitely revisit!

Disliked There are only 3 showers onsite; however we never had to wait.

Liked Lovely campsite, quiet grassy pitches that weren’t overcrowded. Straightforward route to get there, no small backroads or tight turns. Facilities were great, toilets and showers clean and well maintained. Great location for walking straight out of the site or a short drive to nearby hikes. Great pub nearby serving lovely Indian food. All in all an amazing spot!

Spotted Breidden Hill from the site? Head over to take a closer look – it’s only about 10 minutes away by car and has a circular walking route to follow. For other walks nearby, take a stroll through Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve (10 minutes’ drive) or seek out the waterfall trail to Pistyll Rhaeadr (35 minutes). Lake Vyrnwy (35 minutes) is another fine place for a walk, either taking the lakeside route or following the sculpture trail, and it also has watersports activities including kayaking and windsurfing. And if all of that sounds a bit exhausting, maybe a ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway (25 minutes) will suit? For different days out, have a taste of local history with visits to Powis Castle and Garden (20 minutes) and Chirk Castle (half an hour) or board a canal boat to float across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (half an hour). The sculpture trails at the British Ironwork Centre (20 minutes) make for a fascinating outing too.
