Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: The location is stunning, very peaceful and quiet. Choose where you can pitch, lots of space. Amazing to see the peacock, the bird sounds were amazing, heard the cuckoo. Area so beautiful.
Managed some wild swimming at Sgwd Gwladus, the Lady Falls one of the four waterfalls.
Everything is there you need, it just needs a bit more time, attention & care on the facilities.

Disliked: We didn’t have any interaction with the owners, didn’t check on us on arrival day.
The facilities are good but could be better with a little more TLC. There are some just toilets cubicle and others with toilet and shower. Unfortunately if you went in after someone had a shower, you got dripped on from the condensation from the plastic ceiling panels.
Toilets and showers need to be cleaner.
Quite a few times the toilet roll ran out.

Disliked: Hard to find something to dislike, so my suggestion is the same as last year - wifi in the communal area. Signal at site is much better than last year (new mast?) but still not great.

Local attractions

Being in the Brecon Beacons National Park, there are of course heaps of fabulous walking routes around. A good place to start for ideas is the visitor centre 20 minutes’ walk away, and it’s also possible to head straight out from the farm to locations like Fan Frynych mountain or Craig Cerrig-gleisiad nature reserve – both of which are about an hour and 15 minutes away on foot. Time your strolls to bring you to Mynydd Illtyd Common late in the day, as it’s often treated to some spectacular sunsets. Other popular hiking spots nearby include the fabulous Four Falls Walk (25 minutes’ drive) and Craig-y-Nos Country Park (20 minutes). You might also like to tackle a climb of Pen y Fan (15 minutes) or head to Llangorse Lake (20 minutes) for a day of watersports. For a break from all this activity, head to Brecon (15 minutes) for a tour of the cathedral and Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh, go underground at the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (20 minutes) or take a couple of drams of Welsh whisky on a tour of Penderyn Distillery (20 minutes).
