A warm weather caravan.
3 bedroom static caravan
Liked Lovely peaceful site in the countryside. Occasional traffic noise but did not bother us. Could fit two seats out on the side decking. Decent shower and comfy bed.
Disliked No heating!!!! We froze on the first night but then went out and bought a heater. Uncomfy seating but used our folding chairs.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We are pleased you described our site as 'lovely and peaceful' and enjoyed certain aspects of our facilities. We hope you liked the view while sitting on the side decking, and you could have also used the grass area by the caravan if you wanted to. We are sorry to hear you felt cold on your first night. In the static, there is a fixed gas fire in the lounge and we also left an additional portable electric fire for your use, especially as at the time of your stay it was particularly cold. Extra blankets, in the bedroom cupboards, are provided. Regarding the seating, it is the standard design for this type of static caravan and we are sorry you found this uncomfortable. We want our guests to be completely relaxed and really enjoy their stay with us. We would have gladly provided another additional heater straight away to save you buying one.

What customers say
This well-maintained site offers spectacular views of the Black Mountains and a convenient, scenic walk to Hay-on-Wye. Visitors consistently praise the immaculately clean facilities, especially the showers and toilets, and the exceptionally friendly and helpful owner, James. Pitches are spacious and level, and the peaceful atmosphere is a recurring highlight. While a few guests mention some distant road noise, the overwhelming sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

From the manager: Hi, thanks for your kind remarks.
When the customer booked it was for 2 hardstanding pitches and the special request was.
"I'm booking two pitches can they be together please".
Because the booking was just for the Saturday night of the August bank holiday I messaged and contacted the customer saying it would be difficult to get you together on the Saturday of August bank holiday but I said I could get you together if the smaller van went on grass. The customer said this was ok.
I always try to do the special requests to make the customer's stay more enjoyable.
I would never put a customer on a grass pitch when a hard standing pitch was booked without asking the customer first.
We are just a small quiet family campsite and there is a reception sign when you pull into the campsite pointing to our house.
Regards James.
