Liked: Very clean, beautiful setting, really lovely owners who helped me reversing the caravan onto the pitch. Dog friendly. Everything really! Love it there.
Disliked: Slight road noise, but on the flip side, it means the site is accessible and I don't need to negotiate small lanes towing the van

Liked: We enjoyed our recent stay at Black Mountain View and would highly recommend it. The site is very clean and tidy, and the shower/toilet blocks are modern, clean and well maintained by James, the owner who lives on the site. James is very friendly, helpful and amenable. The far reaching views which include the Black Mountains are excellent, and there are some picturesque walks in the area. Hay on Wye is a short drive, and can also be reached on foot from the camp site. We will visit this site again.

Electric optional grass tent pitch (four person)
Liked: Very clean site, with good amenities and a gorgeous view. The site was an easy 40 minutes walk or 5 minute drive to the centre of Hay on Wye. I'd recommend the walk as it follows the river for part of it and is very beautiful. The site owner James was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Overall a fantastic experience.

Liked: James was very welcoming and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The scenery is second to none, the site facilities were excellent, clean and tidy. WIFI was great. Bins were labled for recycling. Although the site was very quiet when we stayed. James explained a walking route to Hay on Wye. It was a beautiful 45 minute walk, through fields with sheep in, and by the river with touching things made by the local school children in the tree lined pathway. Hay on Wye was lovely, many of the shops were closed but that was only due to it being a Sunday and the time of day we walked to it. There is a castle there worth a visit and lots of bookshops.
Disliked: Nothing whatsoever to dislike.

Liked: Lovely clean site, level hard standing, spotless shower block and James, the owner, went out of his way to be helpful. Good view towards the Black Mountains and there are a couple of walks that take you into Hay-on-Wye and Clyro but make sure you take some sturdy shoes!
