Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our pitch. It was a level grass pitch with stunning views over the mountains. The facilities were clean and tidy throughout, with homely touches and the showers were warm. It was a very convenient location near to Brecon (and an unreal burger restaurant next door!)

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely site. We had a pitch with lovely views. The owners came rounds and checked in people during and after the storm. Facilities were all spotless. Good size pitches. Would definitely go
again.

Disliked The stormy weather

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely small site with clean showers, toilets, communal kitchen, outdoor pool, not open till May but looked great! Very close to Brecon, we walked into town in about 20min. 25min drive to Pen YFan. Great location. They had a burger van Fri and Sat night, plus we saw an ice cream van onsite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had some issues and they gladly helped me.

Disliked Really can't think of any dislikes. It was really lovely!

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Great start to the camping season, large clean pitch with a fantastic view of Pen y Fan. Toilet block was spotlessly clean, as was the whole site. Staff were very friendly and helpful, providing longer hook ups for those further from the electricity points. There was a fast food van on site on the weekend which was very tasty and there is a licensed restaurant nearby. It’s a 20 min walk to Brecon town centre which is always worth a visit. Will definitely be returning in the summer

Disliked Nothing to dislike as such

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Really lovely campsite. Excellently maintained and the showers and cleaning blocked were perfect. Had everything we needed. Manager was great and he changed our pitch before we arrived and placed us in the corner as we had an awning and the weather was due to be very stormy. Meant we got through the storm unscathed unlike some others on the site.
Was really quiet as well despite being busy and bank holiday weekend.
Lovely restaurant on site as well.
All in all we couldn't have asked for anything more. We will be back.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Spacious pitches, with electric and water. Very clean heated shower block. Hills Restaurant next to site, shame it was closed for the afternoon we went and fully booked for sunday, very busy, looked lovely to. Beautiful views from the upper part of the site, lovly walks to and around brecon, only a short drive away from pen y fan.

Disliked We stayed at the bottom pitches, bit of road noise but didn't spoil our stay.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Staff were very friendly and helpful. The site is in immaculate condition, The shower block is spotless and the hot water was a great temperature and didn't go off after 30 seconds. Our pitch was nearly level, well with in scope of the drive on ramps. I recommend the site and we will visit again.

Local attractions

Brecon is a fairly small town, but it’s got plenty for the visitor – you may like to pay a visit to the cathedral, see the Royal Welsh Regimental Museum or explore the handful of art galleries here. There are also some lovely walks from town along the banks of the River Usk or the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, and shows and concerts at Theatr Brycheiniog. The area around the town is packed with outdoor activities, including fishing, horse riding, mountain biking and watersports; the best way to find out about all of these is to ask site staff or consult the information folder in the office. Of course the national park has walks galore too, including the popular Four Waterfalls Walk (half an hour’s drive away) and the ascent of Pen y Fan (15 minutes). Other outings nearby might take you to an alpaca walk with Alpaca My Boots (15 minutes), a trip underground at the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (half an hour) or to learn about the past at Big Pit National Coal Museum (45 minutes).
