What customers say

This campsite is exceptionally well-maintained and set in beautiful scenery, with many visitors praising the pristine, modern toilet and shower facilities as some of the best they have encountered. Pitches are generally spacious and well-kept. The location is highly regarded for its proximity to Devil's Bridge, walks, and local attractions. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. A few minor points include occasional WiFi connectivity issues and the need for levelling on some pitches.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Beautiful site, well maintained with spotless facilities. Check out until 1pm which is great when leaving, however arrivals also accepted from 10am into a very welcome holding bay which gave time to explore and maybe grab a coffee and something to eat at the very handy onsite cafe.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely campsite with great facilities. Modern toilet and shower block which was immaculately clean. Great location with devils bridge waterfall only a stones throw away. The site and pitches were very well kept, perfect place for couples and families. Will definitely be back when we return to Wales in the future.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Seemingly lovely shower and toilet facilities (see disliked)
Lovely location
Nice site with local walks and shops etc
Shower cubicle has a separate chamber for your dry clothes and towel etc with a bench to sit on
Massive pitch size
Lovely sunset and sunrise
Quite a good price on my opinion for what you get
One of the cheaper sites to bring dogs

Disliked The men’s toilet block smelled strongly, which unfortunately is shared with the showers in one building. Perhaps something could be done about the smell as we didn’t experience it with any other sites with shared facilities
The staining on the floor of the showers
The drains for the showers all share the same path, so other people’s cubicles can have water (and perhaps other bodily fluids) coming in from adjacent cubicles which is in direct line with where you stand🤢
Most pitches we could see were quite uneven so bring plenty of levelling equipment
£7 to pitch a gazebo is too much

Local attractions

The Devils Bridge Falls and the Three Bridges nature trail walk are only about a quarter of a mile from Woodlands Caravan Park and are – cleverly – the things most guests go for first. The Vale of Rheidol Steam Train and the Hafod Arms Hotel & Bar are both within the same distance away. Four miles away are four top west Wales attractions for all types: the daily red kite feeding at Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forestry Centre; its mountain bike trail; the guided walks and wooded landscape of the Hafod estate; and the Silver Mountain Experience, a day out among the old mines, streams and forests of the Cambrian mountains. The Elan Valley, 15 miles away, is an essential site for Welsh wildlife and is often called the Welsh Lake District: head here for the Elan Valley Reservoirs and the only purpose-built arts and crafts mini village in Wales. Or if you fancy the beach, the sands of Borth beach and the sand dunes of Ynys Las are within 15 and 17 miles. Another beach is at nearby Aberystwyth, along with its famed Constitution Hill, Camera Obscura and cliff railway, and the Magic of Life Butterfly House, with hundreds of butterflies, heaps of giant caterpillars, odd insects and walks (and more waterfalls) in the Rheidol Valley. If the kids like this, take them along too to Fantasy Farm Park, 19 miles away.
