Liked Idealic location, out if the way of the hustle and bustle, very welcoming polite hostess, hut is beautifully presented and looked after, if horrible weather you can definitely spend a day in the hut and is a very homely atmosphere

The Hermitage (25 minutes) has walks through old, tall Douglas Firs – a unique walking setting indeed, in what was once an 18th-century pleasure ground. If outdoor activities are top of your priorities, skip on over to Loch Freuchie (from 10 minutes), for a spot of paddleboarding or kayaking. There are off-road activities in the Dunkeld (20 minutes) area and canoeing and whitewater rafting adventures from Aberfeldy (20 minutes). After all that, you might want to brush up on your knowledge of Scottish whisky. The Blair Athol Distillery (half an hour) is one of many distilleries within driving distance of the site.
