What customers say

Guests praised the comforting property, highlighting its bright and good position, peaceful atmosphere, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and the private hot tub. The staff and park amenities were also well-received. However, some found the check-in/check-out times restrictive and noted a chlorine smell from the tap water. A desire for more on-site shops and dining options was also mentioned.

Local attractions

Having spied the sea from afar you’ll no doubt be keen to get down to the coast for a closer look, so scoot down to Leven (five minutes’ drive) for beach times or a round on one of several sea-view golf courses nearby (or a swim in the indoor pool if the weather’s not so great). Turning attentions inland, take tours and trailer rides to meet the grand beasts at the Scottish Deer Centre (15 minutes) or sit quietly with your binoculars to see what you might spy at RSPB Loch Leven nature reserve (half an hour). The kid-friendly Fife Folk Museum (10 minutes) makes another good visit, as do the ornate interiors and gorgeous gardens at Kellie Castle (20 minutes). Fancy dabbling in a bit of Scottish urban life? Take a stroll around St Andrews (25 minutes) to see its university and castle (or play another round on its famed golf course) or aim for Edinburgh (an hour) to wander through the Old Town and puff your way up Arthur’s Seat for splendid city views. Wee dram back at base of an evening? Take tours and pick up bottles at Kingsbarns Distillery (half an hour).
