Ashbourne Heights Holiday Park

喜欢 Everything, second time staying here. First time in a camping pod second time upgraded to the Glamping. Both are good, if we were without kids I’d probably choose the camping pod, with kids it’s just easier to have that kitchen area in the Glamping. Staff very friendly, very good service. Glamping pod was lovely and spacious. Swimming pool area is nice and clean, if I’m being really picky pool is a little deep for younger children minimum is 1.2m but I was well prepared with all safety measures, floats, armbands, vests etc so all good, we enjoyed the swimming so would go in again. Play park is well maintained, shop is well stocked with essentials. Will book again for sure!

不喜欢 Toilet block was dirty and not well stocked with loo roll and hand towels. Showers ran cold

喜欢 Lovely energy to the park, playground in the centre of the pitch up was great to let thr kids be free.
Swimming pool was a great addition.
The butty van had tasty food. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
All in all lovely site.

不喜欢 The showers were cold, button press showers always a little let down. I undertand why but when paying extra for a campsite expect little hotter showers.
Shop needed more items in, handy for milk in the morning tho must admit.
Family shower and space would be a great addition. As my 1 year old did not take to the cold shower in the gents facilities.
No baby changing was avaliable on site which could of helped.

喜欢 Nice pitch and beautifully well kept site.
Useful shop and other facilities on site too. Didn’t use the pool, but a great asset.
Great access to the Tissington Trail 😁

不喜欢 This would have been a 9* review, but …
The toilet blocks had clearly not been cleaned for several days. The gents had an overwhelming smell of urine, caused by a leak from the urinals running across the floor to the shower units. The urinals and showers were unusable unless you fancied puddling in wee - hmmm, no thanks you.

不喜欢 Toilets could be cleaner . The sink area is clean and well kept, but the individual toilets and lack of toilet roll was not the best

不喜欢 Showers only just warm to cold water was there five days toilets only cleaned once paper towels all over bin full

不喜欢 No soap in the toilets.
Showers only have a hook, nowhere to put clothes.
Overflowing bins.
Poor pitches - sloped and worn out.
Not much going on at the site. Pool is worn.

Don’t like how anyone can drive onto the site. No security at all.
