不喜欢 Showers and proper toilets a good 10 min walk away up a hill. Was left with 6 portable toilets which was awful and 3 biffa bins dumped in the middle of the field. Swimming pool was freezing, and the floors in the changing rooms were dirty with mud 🤢😷 staff just sat around doing nothing when they could have been cleaning the floors. Definitely would not say have arcades they was rubbish and did not see anyone in the tiny room. Dated bar area

With regards to the overflow field, this was not the original stay you had booked. Your booking was for 19th September for 2 nights, but you arrived in August without realising the dates were incorrect. Rather than simply turning you away, we did what we could to accommodate you during one of the busiest periods of the year, which meant using the overflow camping field as the main camping areas were already full. Had you arrived on the dates actually booked, you would not have been placed in the overflow field and your experience would have been very different. This important context is missing from your review. The overflow field is more basic than the main park and is mainly used at the busiest times. The main showers, toilets and pot wash facilities are located on the main site, and there is a walk from the overflow field. Portable toilets are provided closer to the overflow area for convenience, and there were far more than 3 bins available. We are sorry to hear you felt the swimming pool changing area was not as clean as it should have been. The facilities are checked regularly, but during peak times they can deteriorate quickly depending on how guests use them. The arcade is a small games room, as advertised, rather than a large amusement arcade. Crows Nest is a family camping and caravan park, not a large resort park. We are sorry the overflow field did not meet your expectations, but we do feel it is unfair to review the stay without mentioning that you arrived on the wrong dates and were accommodated at very short notice during peak season. Your 2/10 score is very very harsh when your only reasonable complaint is that the pool changing room floor was dirty.

喜欢 Stunning location, loved the fact you can just turn up and pick your own pitch.

不喜欢 I would not say disliked but I was not keen on the toilet and showers, but I’m picky and a clean freak. But it did not put me off going again but would not stay longer than 2 night for this reason

喜欢 Brilliant site the views are just breath taking what ever the weather and was very happy we got the pitch we e mailed and asked for. Also had are own water tap, waste drain and electric hook up next to are caravan. Everyone had there own which was much better. Short walk to the toilet waste point down a slight hill. The site owns are very friendly and helped us out big time and borrowed us a box of strong pegs to peg are awning down due to the ones we had been too thin and bent 🙈 so make sure u have the strong pegs if staying on the gravel pitches. Toilet and shower blocks are spotless however we never used them due to having a bathroom in are caravan. Fab walks, close to railway station Road noise was not a issue for us as at night it was very very quiet we did not hear it. In the day it was noticeable but not that bad at all and even started to not notice. Phone signal not 100% got no internet (3G,4G) in are caravan but did slightly come back when outside. We struggled with WiFi so did not bother with it. No noise after 10.30pm which is great and the site owners stuck to it which is good to see. Would recommend this site to anyone and we will be back we did not wanna go home. Thanks for a great stay we will be back 😀

不喜欢 Nothing.......but would recommend a park for the kids would Deffernitly boost it for us.

喜欢 Fantastic, lovely clean spotless site we did not see one bit of rubbish around or dog poo which is brilliant compared to other sites we have stayed at. This site is kept in top condition and well maintained with level pitches. Lovely friendly staff we had to borrow a power lead as the one we had was not long enough so make sure you have a long electric lead if not reception will lend you one 👍 Toilet and shower block is spotless clean the best Iv ever seen at a site which is based near reception 100% 5* can not say anything negative. Plenty for everyone with a lady’s side with family room, shower room and a toilet and same in the men’s side along with a unisex area that has even more showers and toilets so even in the busy months you won’t need to wait. Plenty of hot water too 👍 Be good if there was a small toilet block at the top end of the field even though we did not need them as much as we had a tourer caravan but I bet the campers did not like the walk to reception in the middle of the night for the toilet. Also at reception is 2 large freezers and a fridge to use along with washing machines and drys. The village is stunning with cafe and a pub Keep a look out for sheep 🐏 that a dotted around the village. We was worried about the road up to the camp site after reading the other reviews about it been one width of a car but this was no where near as bad as what other reviews had said, yes it was a single width road but this was off the main road and the entrance to the site and was grass at each side so if u did become faced with another car coming out of the camp site you could pull to the side, also you can see all the way up the track so gives u plenty of time. Was not a issue for us and we never had to pass another car while we was there.
