Tyckte om I have stayed at Sweet Hill Farm on three occasions now; it is a great camp and motorhome site, with simple but ample facilities for fuss free semi wild camping. The shower block and showers are cleaned daily and take a pound coin for a three minute shower. The cafe offers nice fresh bean coffee and teas, plus breakfast rolls and cakes. All of the camping fields are spacious and the site is perfectly located for nearby cliff rock climbing, fishing and walking around the cheyne section and east weares. Portland Bill lighthouse is visible from the site and withing easy walking distance.

Tyckte inte om The only let down is the toilet blocks, which can get a bit blocked and smelly when the site is busy. But, they are cleaned out daily.

Tyckte inte om Liegt im Industriegebiet. Blick auf Industrieruinen in der anderen Blickrichtung. Schutt und Schrott auf dem Campingplatz. Dixi-Toiletten. Und dafür 26 Pfund die Nacht. Furchtbar!

Tyckte om Loved the views and the space. Loved the cold showers. Liked the walks and the ponies and the position.

Tyckte inte om Portaloos. Would be better with composting toilets Of which there was only one in which someone had missed the toilet. Portaloos stank even away from them and some were filthy.

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the views, open space, local walks, ponies, and the unique position of the campsite. It's great to know these aspects helped make your stay memorable.

We're sorry, however, that the toilet facilities did not meet your expectations. We understand that cleanliness and comfort are important parts of the camping experience. Our team works hard to maintain the facilities throughout the day, but unfortunately standards can sometimes be affected by how they are used between cleaning visits. We appreciate your feedback regarding both the portaloos and the composting toilet, and hoping in the next few months planning permission will go through so we can create a permanent toilet block like our on-site showers to improve the experience for our guests.

Tyckte om The views were absolutely gorgeous! Waking up overlooking the field of horses and sea views behind them. Absolutely breathtaking. All the staff were lovely and so welcoming. The surrounding area was also fab, with so many good walking trails around.

Tyckte inte om The huge group of teenagers that were allowed on the site, and of course you guessed it that came back early in the morning shouting and keeping myself and my 2 young children awake. The staff should have not allowed such a large group of teenagers to pitch in one area or they could have at least thought about putting families with children in another zone far away from them. Also not keen on the price per person, usually it price per pitch.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your stay was disturbed and that you and your children were kept awake by noise during the night. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, especially for families with young children hoping for a peaceful stay.

As a nearly wild campsite, we do welcome a wide range of guests to the campsite, including larger groups, but we appreciate your comments regarding pitch allocation and communication. Your suggestion about separating family areas from larger groups where possible is very helpful, and we will certainly take this into consideration moving forward. We also agree that better communication with families about the campsite environment at the time of booking or check-in could help guests choose the area that best suits their needs.

We’re sorry that the pricing structure was not what you expected. We understand that different campsites operate differently, and we appreciate your feedback on this as well.
