Bolam Lake Camping Paddock

A aimé Stayed in Betty Bell Tent for 2 nights, which has everything you need for your trip, (except bedding). The beds were really comfy and the whole place was clean and well maintained. A great way to camp if haven’t before and aren’t sure or like me not keen on an airbed! David and Jill are lovely hosts, really helpful and friendly.

A aimé We and loved it. It’s a wonderful campsite. Peaceful with lovely views and near to the lake. David and Jill provide everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable time. We especially loved the fresh flowers arranged beautifully in a little vase. The awning outside makes for a dry dining and relaxing space.

A aimé Nice, small site in good location overlooking a horse paddock with Bolam Lake just over the road.
Extremely friendly and helpful hosts, they're definitely in the right job!

N'a pas aimé Nothing really. Not the fault of the hosts but a couple of families let their dogs (and kids!) roam loose without any supervision.

We love meeting the great people who stay with us and we are always on hand to offer help if needed.

Our campsite is a safe and friendly environment for children and dogs and we do highlight in our guest information that is sent to all guests prior to their stay that dogs should be on leads and that children should be supervised. Our apologies if a couple of guests we not so considerate on this occasion.

Weekend bookings are so busy but we tend to be able to offer more flexibility to stay additional nights Sunday - Thursday.

A aimé Great location, friendly owners, lots of picnic benches and well kept. Pitches were well-marked and not packed in. Fresh water available, along with toilets and a washing area.

N'a pas aimé Totally my fault for choosing a pitch right next to a field full of horses, but I hadn't appreciated that they don't seem to sleep much and spent most of the night munching grass and snorting right outside my tent.

Apologies that you were disturbed by the horses in the adjacent fields - they seem to like their camper neighbours and often pop over to say hello. We'll have strong words with them about disturbing our guests during quiet time ! :)

A aimé Beautiful, clean and well kept site. It's a small site with plenty of space between pitches. Beautiful and quiet location. The owners are lovely people and will pop around to see how you are and if you need anything
