Bolam Lake Camping Paddock

A aimé Everything!! Peaceful, amazing and very welcoming owners. They can’t do enough for you. Will come out their way to make you feel welcome and make sure everything is okay. Our second time here now and we will be back again. Toilets are the cleanest toilets you will come across. Cleaned around 2/3 times a day, so quite as their is no traffic around, it was so windy this weekend and with the location the wind wasn’t a problem at all! You’re hidden away. If you’re looking for a quiet get away, here is your best bet!

A aimé The bell tent was well equipped with plenty of utensils for cooking, cutlery and crockery. The tent also had extras such as tea/coffee, outdoor chairs, table, kitchen roll, sanitiser which came in very handy.
The hosts David and Jill were lovely, making sure we were settled and keen to assist if needed.
The bell tent was very spacious and beds comfortable. Great for a 2 night stay.

When we set up our bell tent we tried to make sure that our guests have everything they need for a comfortable, hassle free stay but we are always happy for suggestions for improvements/extras that need to be added.

A aimé This is the second time I’ve stayed here in a month. The first in our own tent, this time in Bell Tent. The owners are so helpful and friendly. Came around 2/3 times a day to check if we needed anything, even ice pack for our cooler box! The Bell tent was equipped with all cutlery & crockery you could need as well as tea and coffee! It was clean and well presented for our arrival. Even provided washing to liquid at the cleaning facilities.

N'a pas aimé If I had to think of one thing to change, it would be that it would be handy to have warm/hot running water at the washing facilities for dishes as boiling the water was a bit of a pain. Not the end of the world though. Overall, such a beautiful place.

A aimé The little touches in and around the caravan were fabulous, and it's clear that alot of care and attention has gone in. The van really does have all the equipment and are to a very high standard!
The owners checked in on us and were very kind and personable, we are looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible!

N'a pas aimé We didn't find anything to dislike, we understood this is a wild (ish) campsite so no electric or showers etc, but the toilets and washing facilities were spot on.

A aimé Beautiful, peaceful setting. Pitches in great condition. Country park and lake a short walk away (perfect for paddleboarding if you bring your own). Friendly owners gave advice on the area and couldn’t do more to help. Washing-up stations and portaloos are sparkling clean with all equipment provided. Fire pits and firewood available for a small charge. Very sociable retired horses for company!

N'a pas aimé Lack of hot water and showers was a bit of a limitation with 7 kids, but basic facilities keeps the site quiet and unspoiled.

We are a Wanderlust campsite based in Northumbrian green belt so there are restrictions on the type of facilities we can offer but we are always looking to improve what we offer and explore options for offering shower facilities.

A aimé Location superb. Caravan immaculate and included everything from utensils and cutlery to kitchen roll and tea cans coffee. Bed extremely comfortable and hosts absolutely lovely.
