Oak View Holiday Park

Me gustó Nice small campsite. I liked that the owners phoned to check we were still coming and they greeted us upon arrival to show us our pitch. Was very lucky to be put with the other 2 parties we were camping with so were all together. I also liked they had a burger/fish and chips van on the Saturday night.
The toilet blocks were clean and like the fact there were 4 family cubicles.
Had an electrical issue which was resolved promptly by the team.
The small window of no rain we were able to play games in the middle of the green.

No me gustó The weather! Rain all weekend which was no ones fault. However, we were allowed to put a gazebo up so was able to sit in there with all of us.
One minor thing I didnt like, was we were right next to the toilet waste, and when the wind blew we could smell it. Maybe could do with a lid? However didnt spoil our weekend.
WiFi was hit and miss but think we were the furthest away from it. And actually was quite nice everyone not being on their pho es all weekend.

Me gustó A lovely welcome to the site, we were shown round our pitch and facilities.

The quality and cleanliness of the toilet, showers and washing up area. Thought the washing machine and tumble dryer a good idea.

The site was well maintained, flat, clean and well organised with good water and electric supplies.

Site staff and other site users were friendly and respectful. It was quiet, with a feeling of being out in the forest with all the lovely trees around and nearby walks. There's a shop and pub nearby too.

One of the better sites we have stayed at,would definitely recommend!!

Me gustó Lovely location, super friendly staff. Very accommodating .

No me gustó Dislike is a strong word...as the site is car free, there is limited parking avaliable for all the cars, and then people park anywhere and then looks messy.
Showers are good, clean etc. However limited temperature control, so when hot its hot!

Regarding the cars......We have the whole top field for our customers to park in on busy weekends as well as our parking. This what happens; I ask every single customer to take their car to our overflow car park. As soon as I go home, all the cars come back in again. Yes, it does look messy and I spend a lot of time going around asking customers to put their cars up in the car park. Unfortunately, I cannot force customers to do this, only request and there always those who take no notice. This was worse this weekend because of the rain, some people don't want to have to walk to their car in it.

I have taken your comments into account re: temperature of the showers and we have turned the boilers down. Now we will get complaints that they are too cold.😂

No me gustó Bathrooms were not the cleanest (although they were cleaned daily). In need of complete reverb

By the Friday evening, the site was packed and each pitch was too close to each other (personal preference is to have personal space)

Reading your review, we can only wonder why, if you have a preference for "personal space" you booked on a family holiday park in the middle of the summer holidays which is our busiest period of the year. Yes, it is "quiet and relaxed' in the week but at weekends, strangely enough, we are very busy, especially this time of the year. It is very soul-destroying when customers mark us down for being what we are supposed to be, a busy family holiday park during the summer. We suggest if you enjoy personal space doing your research before you book and go to somewhere quieter, I think you will find this time of year, whatever park you go to, it is going to be busy.

Yes, we do clean the toilets every single day without fail. The majority of our reviews praise us for this, we are sorry they weren't up to your standards and you feel they need a complete refurb. We will pass that on to the powers that be. They will be thrilled we're sure.
