We have made improvements to the wifi but you were in on our first totally busy weekend of the year which we are afraid does affect it. We do suggest to our customers that they have their own internet if it is that important during their stay. We do not charge for the wifi. Unfortunately it is affected by the amount of customers we have, whats going on at the Kent show ground etc.

Poor drainage of the showers and where there is no shower curtain, clothes may get wet when showering
Very difficult to peg our tent down due to the amount of stone/slabs/tree roots under our pitch

Regarding the cleanliness of the showers and toilets, we were totally fully booked this weekend which is not an excuse but we do our best, they are checked by myself every hour during the day. Unfortunately, some people do not leave the facilities as they would wish to find them themselves. There are pegs behind all the doors for your clothes and stools in most of the cubicles to put them on. Again, the drains do sometimes struggle to keep up with the sheer amount of people using them but those are checked every day too. The new shower lights arrived this morning and are being fitted this week.

You had a large pitch and all of that area to pitch your tent, yes you were near to a tree, you could have moved further back from it, but we don't know what you mean by "stone/slabs". There are no stones nor slabs of anything on any of our tent pitches.

Having said all that, we would love to see you again sometime and we do wish you well on your travels. The Oak View Team. 😊

Me gustó We had a great time only 3 nights but a friendly welcome and helpful staff. Nice spacious Grass pitch for Camper and Awning. Great walk through a trail in the woods directly at the back of the site. Longer walk from site to Detling over Jade’s bridge to Pub The Cock Horse and a Post Office/coffee shop indoor and outdoor seating and kids park. Our Dog loved it. Plenty of service points around the site. Shower rooms were clean and toilets were in the shower cubicles too as well as a couple of stand alone toilet cubicles. Quiet and peaceful, some building works were going on but did not effect our stay in any way. Would recommend.

Thank you for your understanding regarding the building work. I have been trying to pitch everybody as far away from it as possible while it has been going on and we are glad that it didn't bother you in any way. There is never a good time to do it, which is why it's been done over low season.

What a lovely photo of the Wood Anemones. I never get chance to go down there and look. Beautiful. We would really love to see you again. By the way I never did find the number. 😂

We have looked into and trialed the possibility of a small shop/deliveries from the local shop but unfortunately it hasn't worked out as 95% of our customers bring their own goodies with them an so it was't needed. We do hope that this did not spoil your stay. There are all the normal supermarkets within a couple of miles radius of the park and Just Eat and Deliveroo will deliver both take aways and groceries.

The shower and cleaning facilities are excellent - very clean and have been refurbished recently (all in good condition)
It feels very safe

Me gustó Took my dog to this lovely little campsite with good amenities. Lady who spoke to us at reception felt very welcoming and nice.We had the non electric tent area to ourselves so it was spacious but imagine it couldnt fit more then 3 or 4 pitches without feeling cramped. WiFi and data was decent. Showers and toilets were clean and had good hot water. Appreciated the drinking water wells placed around the site too. We enjoyed the little walk out back and it was also easy to access white horse woods via car. Everyone there was respectful and quiet so it was peaceful.

No me gustó The non electric tent area (cant comment on the other areas) was a bit muddy as if it'd been all dug recently. Easy for us to handle but just a heads up.

Regarding the mud on the non electric tent area, you will find that at the end of the winter when it's rained solidly for 6 months, there will be a bit of mud. We would also like to point out that it has not recently been dug but we do have mole hills on a small area on that part of the park. You had the whole of the non electric area to yourself and the choice to pitch where ever you wanted to and may we suggest that booking in the summer when we've dried out may be a better option for you. This time of the year all campsite tent areas will be muddy.

The drains in the showers are checked daily and we do our very best to keep the toilets and showers nice for you all.
