10-amp electric grass pitch

Liked The goats and avery were great for the kids. Loads of open space for the kids to play.
The shop and bar were very reasonably priced

Disliked The toilet and shower facilities were not cleaned often enough. The sinks and showers were slow to drain, smelt of urine constantly, no soap in the dispensers and weren’t refilled in the 4 days we were there.

6-amp electric grass pitch

Liked Nice large pitches, bar and restaurant on site – we had the breakfast which was great. Friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked Could do with more toilets for a site this large. Several times I had to wait to use a toilet.

10-amp electric grass pitch

Liked The bar was cool. Nice little shop. And an easy walk into town.

Great for kids. Goats on site are a nice touch. There's public seating areas which are nice and often missing from campsites.

We had a breakfast roll and coffee both days which were good quality and well priced.

The bar was also good value.

Disliked Poor facilities. There was no hand wash in the men's bathroom all weekend until staff were notified. There is a second men's bathroom which is little more than a shack. The door had fallen off and was simply laid down on the ground.

The shop was being staffed by children, sometimes unsupervised. Giving it doubles up as a bar that seemed highly inappropriate.

The pitches are not clearly defined and the campsite was very busy with no sense of privacy or space.

10-amp electric grass pitch

Liked We loved our pitch next to bouncy castles,
We paid for 2 pitches but only used the one due to the weather and putting our tents together via gazebo. Staff were friendly, and the shop/bar and kitchen were great. Highly recommend. And yes there is a train track next to it, but didnt take away from our enjoyment.

16-amp electric grass pitch

Liked Weve been coming back here for 4 years now. It was the first place we ever bought our children and weve just kept coming back. We especially now like the fact they have a shop, onside food and hot drinks and somewhere to sit. They have male and females showers now too, not joint. So in all, its just kept improving. The little park, bouncy castles and goats are a great little bonus too!

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked There was 15 of us staying 2 nights. We could pitch up anywhere there was space, and so we chose near to the play park and toilets, as there was 7 children amongst us. The site felt safe, lots for the children to do: bouncy castles, climbing frames, football, and feed the goats. We brought a kite too and there was plenty of space to fly it. Although there were a lot of other campers, it didn't feel crowded at all. The staff were friendly. We had a BBQ and fire, and did a lot of stargazing. It was lovely

Disliked The birds in cages. I felt sad for them 😔. The toilets were a little smelly

10-amp electric grass pitch

Liked Park for the kids was great along with being able to interact with goats. Food decent and nice undercover area to have a beer from the bar which wasn’t expensive. Good pitch size for the tent. Bouncy castles for the kids although weather was awful at times so they had to be deflated at times.

Disliked Showers not great as only luke warm. Toilets cleaned daily although they are in need of a bit of a refurb.

Local attractions

Coming to the Cotswolds for a bit of fresh air and gentle activity? Set forth for fishing at Clattercote Reservoir, or tee off at Cherwell Edge Golf Course; both are about 10 minutes away by car. Country walking routes are plentiful too, of course, as are fine buildings to mooch around. Blenheim Palace (40 minutes’ drive) is perhaps the best known of all the Oxfordshire stately homes (and with good reason, for ’tis fab) but it’s worth taking a look at some others too, including Farnborough Hall (10 minutes), Sulgrave Manor (20 minutes) and Upton House and Gardens (20 minutes). For a break from the classic Cotswolds activities, head out to meet the big birds of Fir Tree Falconry (15 minutes) or sigh over all the shiny machines at the British Motor Museum (20 minutes). And if you’re in need of a tipple or two to accompany your barbecue back at base, there are some excellent local ones to be acquired at Hook Norton Brewery (25 minutes) and the Cotswolds Distillery (half an hour).
