General site overview

  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland in Northamptonshire
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone; Northampton 15 minutes
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
Activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is just a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is also a seasonal swimming pool on site. And speaking of the essentials, there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

Families love this park! Great pitches, friendly staff, and awesome pool/splash pad. Some minor gripes on cleanliness and noise when busy, but loads of upgrades happening. Loads for everyone to do.

Shelduck (area 2) electric grass touring pitch

Liked The splash pad for the kids and parks.

Disliked Complete shambles from the start, our assigned pitch had someone in when we arrived. The facilities were always fully booked, Crammed in like sardines on the fields. It wasn’t for us. It’s cheap for a reason.

Shelduck (area 2) electric grass touring pitch

Liked Splash pads were open until 8.30pm which was nice for the kids to cool down. Atmosphere was really good.

Disliked Was abit of a joke when we turned up as we were told one pitch and then another. In the end were told just to find a space.

Adults were driving up and down at speed between the pitches with children standing on the side steps or hanging out of the sun roofs of the car. Was far too busy.

Splash pads were covered in plastic cups and rubbish by the evening.

All the activities were fully booked and we went off site to go swimming.

No toilet roll in the main block come the evening.

Shelduck (area 3) fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Location and lots to do. Pitch sizes were good.

Disliked No grey waste on super pitch. Tourist check-in area was causing lots of queues every day. So those who had already booked in had to wait in the queue.
No motorhome grey waste disposal.

Field 1 electric grass tent pitch (family)

Liked - Seems reasonable value for money
- Visited as a couple but also looks to be good for families with quiet a few activities
- The site is dog friendly
- The site is located well being away from the city but also having good travel links if you need to visit
- The shop on site is well stocked
- Plots were well maintained
- No litter seen throughout site
- A good variety of amenities
- Activities seemed affordable
- Toilets/Showers regularly maintained during day

Disliked - The pitch was advertised as a 10x10 though the pitch is smaller than this, site staff reported the max tent size within this pitch is 6x4. Though staff were friendly and ok that ours was borderline
- The camping/touring toilets include showers which sometimes means waiting for toilets when more people are showering in the morning

From the manager: Thank you so much for sharing this it sounds like you packed a lot into your weekend with us!

We’re absolutely thrilled you enjoyed the spacious pitches and made full use of the fun stuff on park
pump track,
pool, arcade… sounds like the children definitely went home well and truly worn out (the best kind of holiday result!).

It’s also lovely to hear the toilets and showers were clean our Touring Teams work so hard to ensure our holiday guest have the best time that’s exactly the kind of experience we love to deliver, and it really is in our nature.

We’re sorry the food options at The Venue didn’t quite hit the mark for you this time. That’s really helpful feedback and we’ll make sure it’s shared with the team as we’re always looking at ways to improve and keep things exciting.

Really appreciate you taking the time to leave this we’d love to have you back again soon for round two of fun, games, and more memory-making moments!
