Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Well nothing but positive feed back from us. The site is beautiful, basic and relaxing. Just what we wanted. The grass was perfect. Short but padded felt like an expensive carpet in bare feet. Pitched where we wanted which we love, no fixed pitches. Beautiful meadow. Loved the walks nearby too. Coffee shops in walking distance. Shops and pubs very close and just eat deliver too ! The owners Katy and David were perfect. Friendly , chatty , helpful but respected your peace. Couldn’t fault anything. Toilets excellent and clean. The homemade fudge was a delicious bonus. Well done stocks farm keep up the excellent work. We will be repeat customers even if just to cuddle Sandy the most delicious Saint Bernard who lives with Katy and David.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite
Liked The area Rawcliffe is lovely. Good walking. Had to use the local Doctors and they were faultless. So helpful and prompt. The site was much smaller than the advert leads you to believe. Pitches were hard to identify. Margaret the lady who owns the site was truly lovely, helpful and so caring. Really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Which was very kind of her. Home made jams available on site and ice creams. Surrounded by farmland which is nice. I hate giving anything but positive reviews but feel a little mislead with this booking. I feel if people take the advert the way I did and book a two week stop they may be disappointed. On the second night there were only 3 units in , our motorhome and two caravans the site felt so much better due to the improved space.
Disliked The site is Very small, no real pitch definition. The advert is quite misleading not false advertising but does encourage you to think it’s a much bigger site. The first day we were there to many units were present as this is a five pitch site. The motorway is very close to the site which didn’t worry us at all but no mention of it on advert. I think some campers would be shocked.

From the manager: We’re sorry that you felt misled. We are just a small site. No showers. We try to deliver a nice time. There are no pitch marking as we are more agile to different markets. There is no mention of the motorway as it’s obvious on any map that you would check before booking we assume. Pleased that the service you received was up to the mark. Did you try the jam? Made on-site. Just fruit and sugar.
