Liked Very friendly owners. Peaceful, close to the sea and coastal path with sea views. Toilets basic but work, washing up sink, and drinking water. Back to basics vibe in great location. Slightly sloping but wasn't a problem.

Liked Good value - i was on a gravel non electric pitch (one person) at £15 a night. Clean, quiet, good facilities and nice shower, washing up etc. nice rural 20 minute walk to the village including what looked like a lovely pub, though i didn’t go in. Co-op shop in village too. Woodland walk from campsite too. Friend;y owners. Recommended.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Peaceful, rural, nice views, theres a couple bars of 5G (on EE anyway) at the top of the field..( though no reception until you get to the top, also there is a code on the gate, so make sure you've got an email or text before arriving!!) Clean toilets and fresh drinking water. Good seeming pub though i didnt venture there, would be a lovely walk, but about 35-40 mins each way at a guess.
Peaceful and off grid.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely setting, great value, friendly Derbyshire fatmer owners.
Facilities are basic but they work fine, theres toilets, a washing up area, drinking water and 2 male and 2 female showers.
Basic and clearly on a farm but clean and work. Great value. Field does slope but usually lots of space to find somewhere pretty flat (if in campervan chics maybe a good idea. Great biew over to Crich.

Taw View powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Very peaceful and tranquil. Great value for money, even provided wooden blocks to level the van as it slopes slightly. Overall very restful and Very good value for money at £11 per night with a 6 amp electricity (all i needed to slow charge my batteries). Its a solar shower so may not always be mega hot, but had all the services i needed at great value. Small and cosy.

Disliked Nothing really, shower basin could do with a makeover, but worked fine :)

Powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Restful, clean, quiet, great broadband and clean toilets and showers, excellent games room. Very good and friendly english speaking (english) owner. Wonderful location to and from the ferry at Cherbourg and to explore Normandy… close(ish) drive to St Marie Eglise and the D day beaches, monuments and museums, and a gateway to Dinan, Caen, st michel’s mount and on to (in my case) Bretagne / Brittany etc…
Disliked Nothing really, perhaps a separate loo as my friend suggested to me, as bpth the showers are in the same locable room as the toilets. Bit nothing really to dislike :)

From the manager: Thank you for your comments Michael, you're absolutely right about the toilets and showers. Having them set up as a traditional bathroom layout isn't the best if it can mean a wait for a shower. We're having some plans drawn up and costed so please do watch this space!! Hopefully we'll see you back on your travels again soon.
