What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful, natural, "wild camping" experience with lovely views. Visitors praise the friendly staff, tranquil atmosphere, and proximity to local pubs and beaches. Facilities, including compost toilets and solar-powered showers, are generally well-received, with many noting the hot water. Some minor issues were reported regarding waste disposal and shower functionality, though newer reviews suggest these may be resolved. The site is ideal for those seeking a back-to-basics, relaxed getaway.

Liked There was a really lovely atmosphere. Plenty of space, nice compost loos and very good solar showers (it was a really sunny day). The site is really simple with beautiful views. It’s very close to the village where there is a shop and a pub

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Having no restrictions on having a designated pitch number/ space or where to pitch up. Being allowed to find a spot in the field and use it. Meant there was distance between you and your neighbour which was quiet and peaceful.
Basic but worked - showers were clean and toilets were as described
Really nice pub only a few minutes walk down the hill. Friendly staff and good selection of foods / drinks
Few minutes drive to croyde very convenient for early surfing
