Liked Lovely site set in beautiful woodlands. Well stocked shop , nice play area for kids and excellent shower and toilet facilities.

Liked Peaceful site good place to visit some amazing places like slimbridge wetlands , Berkeley castle , Bourton . The George pub does good food at a reasonable price .

Disliked When site manager has a day off if you are leaving you have to go to the pub to get barrier moved took one van over 10 mins to get through .

Liked Everything was excellent , hosts were lovely Peaceful site and amenities were very good.

Disliked Who ever was on pitch before left cigarette butt's on the ground , could possibly do with extra laundry machines as it could be a long wait if site was busy .

Liked Jake and the whole team were excellent hosts and despite the really bad weather they did there upmost best to accommodate everybody. Nice walks through the forest of Dean , mountain bikes available and 3 good lakes for fishing . Nice little bar and takeaway on site .

Disliked If possible could do with another washing machine as only 1 there with youngsters it could get busy . Perhaps a small shop could be good

During the summer months we stock the basics such as milk bread and eggs etc and are always happy to try and obtain goods for our customers., The towns of Coleford and Monmouth are just a short drive away. The commercial washing machine usually copes with demand, however we will review . regards Jeff site manager

Liked Quiet small site Jayne was a good host cdp good bins provided for waste and recycling . Ideal spot for Yorkshire moors and various other attractions

Disliked No entry security cameras , location of site on a bend could do with a couple of mirrors on other side if road to warn of traffic

From the manager: Thankyou for your great review and lovely photos. I really appreciate your review and the constructive criticism about mirrors which would hopefully allow drivers to see further either way at the entrance. Since your review, I have spoken to the farmer opposite, and asked if I can put some up on his side of the road and these will be in place as soon as I can find something suitable. I do have a camera on the end of the building opposite the entrance to hopefully make people feel more secure. I have now put up CCTV signs to make people aware that it is there. Thankfully I haven't witnessed any incidents up to now, as I haven't had any problem's with intruders etc. Fingers crossed that this remains the case, but if more people mention being worried about security on site, I do have the option of closing the entrance gates - At the moment I don't really want to do this, as I feel it would cause inconvenience ,but I will take continue to take in to account people's views . With regard to the recycling we have tried several ways to operate a recycling system but many guests just simply ignore it and I then have to open up all the tied binbags and manually sort through everyone's rubbish which is not practical or very pleasant!
