Liked Nice quiet site with the added bonus of fishing and cafe on site, facilities really clean, all staff really friendly
Disliked Not a dislike but just to make people aware that pool view isn’t actually around the lake, it is the next field not even a minute walk

Disliked Not a dislike but to make people aware - the enclosed dog field is not on this site and is actually 1/2 a mile away

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the site, found our team friendly, and appreciated the cleanliness of our facilities. Thank you as well for mentioning the enclosed dog field. You're absolutely right—it's located around half a mile from the site rather than on-site. We appreciate you highlighting this, as it helps future guests plan ahead if they're bringing their four-legged friends. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Paradise lake powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite (adults only, lake view)
Liked Nice site with bar, food & fishing
Disliked Unfortunately there are rules in place but they are not enforced.
Camping in Coolacres is stated adults only - lots of kids
No entering fishing area without adult - lots of kids fishing without adults
Kids screaming and running around at 11:30pm and then again at 5:30am
Could be a really good site but unfortunately it’s not

From the manager: Thank you for your review. Sorry its not for you. i din't hear kids screaming or running around until 11.30.And i did stop the one kid that was talking quite loud to his brother. obviously you will see and hear kids as its only the pitches on the lake that are adult only not the rest of the park

Disliked Arrived and sent to 3 different pitches that we all full, site is very run down and full of seasonal campers who stare at you when you arrive, we turned around and drove back off loosing £132, there was no way I was staying there

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your arrival experience did not meet your expectations and that you decided not to stay with us. On the day of your arrival, you arrived earlier than the allocated check in time, and due to the high occupancy levels, this caused some confusion with the allocated pitch, as the previous guest was still packing up to leave within the allotted time frame. Whilst there was some confusion regarding your pitch, we were available to assist and would have welcomed the opportunity to address any concerns you may have had. Unfortunately, no concerns regarding the condition of the park, your pitch, or the behaviour of other guests were raised with the Management team before your departure. Had these issues been brought to our attention, we would have done our utmost to find a suitable resolution. Chapmanswell is a mixed park that accommodates, Touring, camping and seasonal owners, many of whom have been part our community for many years, with both touring and camping guests returning year after year to enjoy the park facilities. We are sorry if you felt uncomfortable with other holiday guests looking at you during your visit, as creating a welcoming environment for all guests is extremely important to us. We regret that you chose to leave before giving us the opportunity to resolve your concerns and experience the facilities and surroundings that many of our guests return to enjoy year after year. We do wish you well with your future travels.

Liked Nice cafe
Disliked Not worth the price at all, roads are not tarmac and just muddy pot holed dirt tracks, toilets are clean but very dated, you have to pay extra if you want wifi. would not stay again

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your stay with us in February, Janet. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the café during your visit, and we appreciate you highlighting the cleanliness of the toilet facilities, as our team work hard to maintain these to a high standard. We’re sorry to read that you felt your stay did not represent good value for money. Our pricing reflects the facilities and location of the park, including fully serviced hardstanding pitches, maintained amenities, and the range of independent shops and food outlets available on site. Winter weather can unfortunately lead to some muddy conditions on park roads during particularly wet periods, and this is something our maintenance team continually monitor and work to improve. Regarding WiFi, we do offer both free basic access and the option to upgrade to a higher-speed connection for guests who require it, which helps ensure a stable service across the park. We appreciate you sharing your feedback as it helps us continue to review and improve the experience we offer to our guests.

Toilet/shower fascinate ok
Disliked Person running not the friendliest, very rude when going to use toilets and they are cleaning.
Should not advertise you can have awning when the gravel is not big enough for van and awning yet you are told you can’t use the grass
Has been a fab site at one time but not putting any money back into it, pitches are full of weed
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi Janet, thanks for the review. Sorry to hear that you won't be visiting us again and are unhappy re the awning situation, we do advertise that the awnings should be on the hardstanding and not the grass so apologies that you were not aware of this. Very surprised to see your comment re not being the friendliest as normally we get comments as to how friendly we are but can only apologise this was not the case and made you think otherwise.

Liked Good location
Disliked This is really false advertising, no staff at all to run this site. Toilet & short facilities are disgusting, not cleaned once on the 4 days we were there, when we arrived there was mud all over the benches & floor, toilet seats missing, sanitary products left on benches, still the same the day we left.
There is no bar open here either.
Dish washing area is vile! We boiled our own water and washed at tent.
It’s a shame as this is a lovely location but they are charging one of the highest prices for camping and putting nothing at all back in,
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Toilets in the changing rooms are mostly brand new - the two with the "seat missing" are designed to have no seats. The toilets have been cleaned a minimum of twice daily. and we can't factor in other people leaving sanitary products. Bar is open on-site when we have enough campers in The dishwashing area is being redone currently. We are putting lots of resources in. Also don't understand the any staff on-site as there are usually at least two though they maybe busy around the grounds
