Santiago de Compostela, La Coruna, Spain
FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Great showers and washroom facilities. Nice pitch amongst the trees. Cafeteria frequented daily by dozens of pilgrims on lat push to Santiago.
Disliked Advertised swimming pool out of order. A bit out of town in semi industrial / agricultural area.

Liked Level, gravel pitch. Good facilities including common room with microwave and other facilities. Clean toilets and showers within old farm buildings. Use of washing machine if required. Pretty area with nice walks, close to Shap and M6.
Disliked Rain when we visited! Narrow roads on approach, be careful with longer vehicles / caravans.

Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Nearly flat concrete base, water, electric and drain on each pitch. Good space between pitches, clean and tidy site. Good showers, laundry and washing up room.
Friendly greeting.
Lovely views across Loch Ryan.
Disliked Has been cafe/bar in the past, this is closed. Nearest restaurants etc two miles away in Stranraer. Nice walk/cycle into the town along shore of the Loch.

Venice, Venice, Italy
Green Area powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked A different site, in an industrial / port side location beside cruise liners and freight ships, but pitches are in a leafy park setting with a stunning vista of Venice which can be reached in 20 minutes by hourly passenger ferry. Ferry costs €13 return). Facilities are of a 60’s vintage, but include a pool (cap required), restaurant, shop and bar as well as laundry, and usual amenities.
Disliked In September there are a lot of flying insects, so bring repellent. Other than ferry to Venice (last return 8.30pm during the week), nothing else in the area.
Aircraft noise during the day as on flight path. Ships horns can wake you up in the morning. Unless you are going to see Venice, there is no point coming here.

Offingawier, Friesland, The Netherlands
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Beautiful setting beside lake, mixed accommodation in the complex including chalets, cottages, tents as well as caravans and camper vans. Good facilities including bar restaurant, sports and kids activities. Pitches are quite large and relatively spaced out.
Disliked Sparse water points, relatively basic shower / sanitation. Only one motorhome grey waste drain in different part of campsite to our pitch which meant going through two entrance / exit barriers. Not very close to any town / amenities, need to drive.

Meadows powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Location. Shop and food on site.
Disliked Showers not working. No map showing pitches (annoying for late arrivals who could not access reception), muddy pitches, no obvious drive over grey waste drain.
