What customers say
This campsite boasts stunning mountain and river views with ample space. Friendly, helpful staff are a highlight. While facilities are basic, they're generally clean, with upgrades planned for 2026. Campfires, riverside access, and nearby attractions are big pluses. Some noted dated facilities and minor noise, but most enjoyed this relaxed, "back to basics" getaway.

 Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Open space and quiet with a beautiful view.
Disliked The toilets were awful, there was no loo roll either, the walk way to the river was over grown. It’s a shame as I grew up coming to the caravan site with my family but I don’t think I’d return from a camping aspect. Might be better in the summer.

Excellent.

Liked The scenery is gorgeous, we parked near the stream. As it was the last weekend of September there weren't many other guests so it was really quiet, which is what we wanted. The toilet facilities were clean and easy to access. We have been before and will be going again.

Ideal location in lovely part of Wales and great for fast jet spotters
 Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked What a lovely location, very scenic. Basic amenities provided for camping ok, nice hot showers included and a small toilet block and portable toilets seen around site. Only camped for one night so did not investigate any other facilities. Price very good.
Disliked Would have expected to see more wash basins available but as did not going looking further than main camping field they may well exist?

Liked Everybody we met on the site was friendly and helpful
We really enjoyed our stay and used it as a well positioned base to drive out every morning to points of interest on the tourist map
The site is in a lovely quiet location with access to the river but not too far from a main road and garage to get provisions easily
The toilets were always clean and the showers always hot.
Fire pits are provided and portable loo's equally spaced through out the site if you don't want to walk to the toilet block
New toilet block and facilities are being built and will be ready for 2026
Disliked no complaints at all, would use again

 Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Fantastic site. Perfect for a couple of nights away with friends and our children.
Lots of recent reviews about the toilets but they were fine for the entirety of our stay, being cleaned and stocked up regularly. That's the portal loos around the field and the permanent loos. We didn't use the porta showers but they looked very nice.
There is access to a river right behind the campsite, great for wild swimming or paddling. Short 20min drive to the beach and Dolgellau is about a mile away, with lots of places to eat.
The field allows plenty of space for the kids to play and run about.
We had a fire both evenings in our fire pit, logs purchased on site.
Disliked There was a generator or something running all night, busy road and dogs on a nearby property barking till quite late, which meant it wasn't the most peaceful nights sleep. However the river flowing in the background was peaceful.
Although the toilets were clean and well stocked, the flooring is in need of repair.

A nice site, perhaps in need of a little tlc to the toilet blocks.

Liked Lovely views and lots of space. Staff there to welcome on arrival. Great location for walks and exploring the local area. Showers nice and warm. River accessible from site nice to paddle in with a tyre swing for kids to play on.
Disliked Toilets in need of some repairs to the actual building. Big crack in the floor in one cubicle and some of the other flooring felt very spongy. Website and booking terms and conditions state no large groups, quiet from 10pm and dogs always on leads. We got back from a daytrip part way through the week to find a big group with 6 tents, gazebos etc had set up next to us. Must have been about 20 people in total. No issues with that in itself, however they had music playing until well after 11pm most nights, and a dog off lead running around the site visiting other campers nearby. No staff around when we were there to speak to so texted the number on the booking. No response and no attempt made to rectify the situation. Went over to talk to the group on the last night just after 11pm to ask them to keep it down.

Good family site with good views and great walks
 Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Great site with good pitch selection toilets placed around the site and a main toilet block at the main entrance, you can see the farmer is investing in the site with new toilet and shower facilities being built.
Disliked People feel it’s ok to drive around the site into the early hours was woken up at 2am by a family who thought it was ok to drive to the main toilet and leave the engine running the site needs signs putting up to say no vehicles movement’s after 10
