  • Well-kept, quiet Wiltshire farm site 10 minutes’ drive from Malmesbury
  • Westonbirt, The National Arboretum and Highgrove 20 minutes’ drive
  • Play barn and café; the Cotswold Water Park 15 minutes’ drive
If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids for a few days of country life, you should be heading to Down on the Farm, on the edge of the Cotswolds and 10 minutes’ drive from Malmesbury in North Wiltshire. This peaceful pop-up site is set on a beef farm with lots of curious cows to meet and great, and there’s a huge play barn where younger guests can get stuck in playing farm-themed games and riding mini tractors about the place. And for adults? Well, there’s a popular café with views over the farm fields, a modern facilities block with family shower rooms, and a camping field sheltered by mature trees. You can also set off on rural walks from the pitches, which are dog-friendly so Fido can join in the holiday fun too. There are lots of options for family days out, whether it’s swimming off the lakeside beach at the Cotswold Water Park (15 minutes’ drive) or exploring the standing stones at Avebury (35 minutes). And if you’d rather just stick around and chill on site, you can look forward to regular colourful sunsets and nights cosied up around the firepit.

Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Nice people but needs work …could be exceptional . The showers and toilets are pretty heath Robinson , no roof on the toilet flooring not the best showers leaking but it does appear to be a work in progress …the access road is pretty bad and if you have a half decent van you won’t be happy pulling it down the very rutted potholed access rd the grass field is beautiful but is full of ruts like a ploughed field. Bit of effort and it could be perfect getaway nice and quiet kids would love it

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked What a wonderful new site!
The owners are absolutely fantastic and so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble even though they were always super busy setting up for their first busy weekend!
You can really tell they are going to put their whole heart into the site and make it amazing. I hope everyone sees how hard they are working to get everything right and don’t criticise any teething problems too much.

We were lucky enough to have the chance to see a hot air balloon take off from the field next door which completed our evening perfectly!

The play barn is great and very good value food and drinks. They even opened 30 minutes early for me in the morning to make me a coffee!

We absolutely loved our night here and for the price it was excellent. Can’t wait to see what the owners do with the place as they are clearly working their socks off to make it a lovely place for everyone!

Thanks again, we will be back!

Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked It was a lovely charming site, owners have just opened which means they are still working hard to get everything complete but this does not hinder your stay!

George was very welcoming and nothing was a hassle!

Even some calves to speak to when nipping to the toilet!

Disliked Nothing -
