  • Dorset country park with 52 acres of meadows and woodland
  • A 20-minute drive from Bournemouth and the New Forest National Park
  • Fishing lake, picnic areas and play area, plus a basic on-site shop
Placed between the Cranborne Chase National Landscape and the New Forest National Park, Meadow View Country Park is a handy spot for darting out to beaches, nature reserves and farm and zoo attractions. The 52-acre country park also has meadows and woodlands of its own, making sure that there are plenty of quiet spots where guests can sit and unwind after they’ve finished exploring. The site has a nice bunch of facilities for kids and grownups, including a play area, a fishing lake, picnic areas, laundry facilities and an event programme. A basic on-site shop is stocked with the essentials, so you only need to think about picking up the more niche things in the supermarkets within 10 minutes’ drive of the site. This part of East Dorset is full of lovely scenery, country pubs and walking and biking trails. The nearest pub, which serves food and has a spacious beer garden, is a two-minute drive down the road. Additional pub-restaurants are within a five-minute drive of the site. The Dorset coast, including Bournemouth, is a 20-minute drive away, and the Southbourne, Avon and Highcliffe beaches are 35 minutes’ drive away.
