Meadow View Country Park

A aimé Tent layout was good for us. Plenty of space and equipment. View was lovely and location was great for all we wanted to do.

N'a pas aimé Lots of Dog poo around site and tent. Advertised as if you can free roam the site vist the stables go for walk but your not told that half the site is residents and you not allowed near them and that your not allowed near stables as we was told by horses owner very sternly. Site looks like it is having alot of work done but didn't see anyone working all the time we was there. Unfortunately what looks to be a really nice site and certainly could be was very much a let down. Also needs more showers and better washing up facilities. No management or caretaker on site either.

We're sorry the rest of your stay didn't live up to what you were hoping for, and we'd like to address a few of the points you've raised.

On the dog mess: the vast majority of our dog-owning guests are very good about clearing up after their pets, but we do also check the site regularly ourselves, and we're sorry this wasn't picked up during your stay. Thank you for flagging it — we'll keep a close eye on this.

On access around the site: to clarify, there isn't a private "residents only" half of the site — like many caravan and holiday parks, Meadow View has other accommodation where people live and stay, and the track running through the site is open for all guests to use, including to reach the other glamping, the second shower block, and washing-up station. Around the stables specifically, we do ask everyone to keep a respectful distance, both for the horses' safety and out of consideration for the people living nearby — but this isn't a case of areas being generally off-limits.

On the works you noticed: Meadow View is currently going through a program of improvements, and we're very open about that. Any work is scheduled away from our glamping and camping areas and outside of guest and social hours, specifically so it doesn't disturb anyone staying with us — which is likely why you didn't see the team on-site during your visit. We appreciate your patience while we keep investing in the park.

On facilities: we actually have two shower blocks and two washing-up areas across the site. We're sorry these weren't easy to find during your stay, and we'll look at making them clearer for future guests. There's also always a member of our team available throughout your stay — reachable via the messaging platform or booking channel you booked through, with an emergency contact number provided too for anything urgent.

We're sorry this visit didn't meet your expectations, and we genuinely appreciate you telling us. If you'd ever consider giving us another chance, we'd love the opportunity to show you the improvements we're making.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with some of the other children on site — this doesn't sound like the friendly atmosphere we aim for, and we'd really encourage guests to let our team know if anything like this comes up during a stay so we can look into it directly. It's not an issue we're currently aware, so thank you for letting us know.

On the animals/stables, we did send full details along with a booking link in your pre-arrival email, and followed up with a text to flag it in case it landed in a spam folder — but we take your point that this is easy to miss among everything else being sent beforehand. It's a great suggestion, so thank you — we'll look at adding some additional signage or information within the accommodation itself so it's easier to find during your stay.

N'a pas aimé Our experience with medow view was truely unexceptable and fully disappointing, the money we paid for our stay was extortionate for the service we reciced . The toilets were truly inconvenient, why on earth would you have the toilet facilities right next to the static homes which all have toilets in. Causing a exceptionally long walk for a toilet block that evidently wasn't thought through. The showers. Wow. You cannot regulate the temper at all. The showers were crazily hot. Having no disabled access toilets caused alot of issues for my father, who is disabled and is wheelchair chair bound. Now finally, no beer on draught in the "bar". And oh my god , wow. My group all had ice creams and it was opened and a whole scoop was taken out of it. In addition to that most of there melted, exactly like moose, definitely drinkable.

After an experience like this you will not be recieving any more bookings from us or our group of 10

We take on board your comments about the toilet block location and will look at how we can better manage the walking distance for tent pitches going forward. The blocks were built before the current team joined, but that's something we can try and bear in mind with future development and improvements - thank you for letting us know. We're also sorry to hear about the shower temperature — we'll get this checked.

We're very sorry to hear about the difficulties your father experienced. Accessibility is something we take seriously, and we'd always encourage guests to get in touch with us ahead of their stay to talk through any specific requirements — this means we can give an honest, informed answer about whether the site and facilities would be suitable, and make sure the right arrangements are in place in advance.

Regarding the bar and ice creams, we experienced exceptionally high temperatures during your stay which put a real strain on our freezers, and we're sorry this affected the quality of what was on offer.

Sorry to hear the tent pitch wasn't quite right for you. The field does have a gentle slope rather than being flat, though we wouldn't describe it as a hill — we do try to keep guests informed of this when booking a non-electric grass pitch, but we're sorry this wasn't clear enough in your case. We'll take another look at how we communicate this. We've also noted your comments about the shop hours and on-site contact, and will look at how we can improve availability there.

A aimé Brilliant set up - lovely tent and everything you’d need inside. Quiet site and lots of open space for kids to play and a play area that kept them busy for a little while. Great new toilets and showers that were cleaned regularly. Thanks for a lovely few days! Enjoyed a trip to Moors Valley on the way home.

A aimé Great having a fridge and microwave. Shower and toilet block was short walk from the pod and was cleaned daily.

N'a pas aimé Could have done with a black out roller blind for the door since it gets so bright early in the morning.

A aimé Stayed here for 2 nights Sunday to Tuesday to go to Paultons Park with our 3 children. The safari tent was lovely, very well equipped with crockery, utensils and a fridge.
The space and peaceful sight allowed our children to roam free feeding the goats, the lady looking after them was so friendly and chatty.
The toilet and shower blocks were very clean
