Sidmouth, on the jurassic coast

  • Spacious and family-friendly park two miles from Sidmouth
  • Seaton, Lyme Regis and Crealy Theme Park within 20 minutes' drive
  • Play area, putting green and games space on site; dogs welcome
Setting off for the seaside at Sidmouth? It’s an excellent choice for a holiday destination, whether you’re travelling in a couple, bringing the family or simply setting off for a bit of a break on your own. And an equally excellent choice is a stay at Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park – quite possibly the closest holiday park to Sidmouth. This spacious and well-kept park is about two miles from the seaside town, in a quiet spot surrounded by the lovely scenery of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Settle yourselves in here (and feel free to bring the dog, by the way) and you’ll be in a prime position for making the most of your east Devon location, taking in hotspots all along the Jurassic Coast, heading out for rural rambles and/or packing in family attractions like The Donkey Sanctuary, Pecorama and Crealy Theme Park (or seeking out gardens and National Trust properties, if that’s more your thing…) Spending a bit of time on site isn’t a bad plan either – this family-friendly park has a putting green, a play area and plenty of space for ball games and general running about. On a more practical front, there’s a small food shop, a launderette, a washing-up area and a chemical disposal area, as well as a heated amenities block with toilets and free hot showers.

What customers say

Spacious, peaceful site with top-notch individual showers. Friendly, helpful staff. Great for exploring! Some found sloped pitches, Wi-Fi costs, and an older shower block.

Liked Excellent site. Nice and quiet, very well maintained in a good location. As with most sites in Devon and Cornwall the approach road to the site is quite tight. Its even tighter if you follow your Sat Nav. On approach ignore the Sat Nav and follow the road signs.

Disliked It’s not a dislike but to be aware of. There is virtually zero phone signal across the networks. Some might say that is heaven. WiFi is available, we didnt choose to buy so i cant really comment on it.

Liked Peaceful site with a good dog walking area. Lovely walks from the site, including to the donkey sanctuary. There is a small golf course nearby. We liked the individual toilet/basin rooms.

Disliked If the site had been busier, we would have had to use the older toilet/shower building, which is looking tired. As it was quiet, I only had to wait a few minutes for a shower to be free. Pitch was slightly sloping, so chocks were needed, but this wasn't a problem.

Liked We was allowed to stay in the all grass area instead of the half gravel half grass pitches - which was great! Toilets and shower facilities were fantastic and clean and also heated which was such a bonus! Lovely part of Salcombe friendly staff & we'll be back. Thanks again.
