Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast

  • Spacious and family-friendly park two miles from Sidmouth
  • Seaton, Lyme Regis and Crealy Theme Park within 20 minutes' drive
  • Play area, putting green and games space on site; dogs welcome
Setting off for the seaside at Sidmouth? It’s an excellent choice for a holiday destination, whether you’re travelling in a couple, bringing the family or simply setting off for a bit of a break on your own. And an equally excellent choice is a stay at Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park – quite possibly the closest holiday park to Sidmouth. This spacious and well-kept park is about two miles from the seaside town, in a quiet spot surrounded by the lovely scenery of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Settle yourselves in here (and feel free to bring the dog, by the way) and you’ll be in a prime position for making the most of your east Devon location, taking in hotspots all along the Jurassic Coast, heading out for rural rambles and/or packing in family attractions like The Donkey Sanctuary, Pecorama and Crealy Theme Park (or seeking out gardens and National Trust properties, if that’s more your thing…) Spending a bit of time on site isn’t a bad plan either – this family-friendly park has a putting green, a play area and plenty of space for ball games and general running about. On a more practical front, there’s a small food shop, a launderette, a washing-up area and a chemical disposal area, as well as a heated amenities block with toilets and free hot showers.

What customers say

A well-kept, peaceful park with roomy spots and welcoming staff. Praised for its spotlessly clean, modern washrooms. Great base for coast exploring. Some noted sloping pitches, limited shop stock, and pricey Wi-Fi. Cell service can be spotty.

Disliked The toilets weren’t cleaned for the 3 days we were there and had run out of hand towels and were getting very short of toilet paper

Liked Very warm welcome the person at the desk could no do enough for us, the pitches are large and ell thought out . The showers are great and private.

Disliked No phone signal and while there is an onsite paid for wireless we were told its worst than useless, thankfully the guy at the desk allowed us to use there wireless for a business meeting.

While you can walk to Sidmouth and we did its not for the faint hearted as its about an hour away up a very steep hill, but the views make it worth it.

Liked Nice area

Disliked Advertise with a farm shop a few baked bean tins and a couple of other bits and pieces doesn’t add up to a Shop advertised with Wi-Fi. I specify by five when I booked it and you couldn’t even get a signal on your phone to get Wi-Fi you have to have 5G on your phone to download the Wi-Fi so absolute joke.

Liked Very quiet and relaxing . The Grandchildren loved playing out in the field . Steve the warden was very helpful and hard working as he was on his own . Buses were handy at a 20 minute walk and the donkey sanctuary was lovely . Again about 20 minute walk ,not suitable for disabled people . The road is more suitable .

Disliked We thought there was a play park
