What customers say
This well-kept, quiet site has spacious spots, many with private washrooms. Friendly, helpful staff often share local tips. Facilities are praised as excellent, clean, and warm. Enjoy table tennis & badminton; great for coastal walks & nearby towns. Some found pitches sloped, WiFi extra. One noted a poor staff encounter & sharp table edges.

A very enjoyable stay
Powered cement/asphalt campsite
Liked Peaceful site with a good dog walking area. Lovely walks from the site, including to the donkey sanctuary. There is a small golf course nearby. We liked the individual toilet/basin rooms.
Disliked If the site had been busier, we would have had to use the older toilet/shower building, which is looking tired. As it was quiet, I only had to wait a few minutes for a shower to be free. Pitch was slightly sloping, so chocks were needed, but this wasn't a problem.

Liked We was allowed to stay in the all grass area instead of the half gravel half grass pitches - which was great! Toilets and shower facilities were fantastic and clean and also heated which was such a bonus! Lovely part of Salcombe friendly staff & we'll be back. Thanks again.

Very nice site for many reasons but with some problems.
Powered cement/asphalt campsite
Liked We liked the location, near the Donkey Sanctuary which we wanted to go to. Also liked the site except for the levels of the pitches, which were still to “slopey” even after using the levellers, the facilities were first class, very clean and separated into individual units, unlike a lot of sites where they are more like a school changing room, all lumped in together. There is an outdoor table tennis table, which was great to play on as they had good bats and balls, there was also a putting green and a badminton court. The site was nice and quite when we were there so that was a welcome thing.
Disliked The slightly hostile reception I received from a member of staff who thought he knew me even after being told we had never been there before, I disliked his attitude which I found to be a bit off putting and felt he was being discriminatory. This character needs to be trained in how to approach customers who after all are paying his wages. Although I enjoyed playing table tennis, I hurt my hand a couple of times hitting the edge of the metal table which had sharp edges, so anyone playing on the table should be careful when going for certain shots as you could do some serious damage to your hand if it hits the sharp edge of the table, the grass on the putting green was a bit too long but was still playable they supplied the putters and golf balls and we still enjoyed playing.
