That’s your dog telling you to book a long, long Lingfield stay: the pitches at family-run Long Acres Caravan and Camping Park are pet-friendly (although there is a small extra fee for man’s best friend) – and there are lots of options for walkies in the surrounding Surrey countryside too. Whether you plan to use Long Acres to walk the dog (or be walked by the dog) or as a base to see the attractions of Surrey, human campers are also in for a treat at this friendly, well-maintained park. There’s a well-stocked tourist information kiosk, firepits to hire, and three spotless centrally heated toilet and shower blocks. For food, Lingfield village – with its shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and supermarkets – is a mile away. The High Weald National Landscape is a short drive south of the site, and the Surrey Hills National Landscape is a 10-minute drive to the north. Don’t lose your head with the huge range of historical highlights in the area either, starting with 13th-century Hever Castle & Gardens (20 minutes' drive), the childhood home of Anne Boleyn (boo to Henry Eighth) and with award-winning gardens, water maze with a mind of its own and what will probably be the fave of the kids – a 13th-century gatehouse with historical instruments of execution and torture.

Powered grass campsite

Liked Great site, really friendly staff, the bar and pizza van were a great touch and they had a coffee truck in the mornings which was just amazing! We'll definitely come again.

Liked Different food vans and the bar. We really rated the coffee horse box and the pizza.

Disliked The toilets were new but lacked cleaning.

Powered grass campsite

Liked Facilities were good spacious and clean on the whole. Good location for exploring the area. We saw quite a lot of wildlife and herd owls at night which was lovely.

Disliked The frequency and early start and late finish of the flights coming overhead did wake us up early most mornings but we did get used to it by the end of our stay

Liked The food van (chefs van) was very tasty

Bar at the weekends was a nice touch

It was close to where we needed to be

Being under the Gatwick flight path was no where near as noisy as some reviews said- by 12.30am its pretty much silent

Disliked The toilet/shower blocks were filthy. Not a little bit dirty, genuinely filthy.

The middle shower block for women had a hole in the ceiling that, when I reported it, the maintenance man didn't know about, which is telling add it was very clearly not a new hole.

The pitches were pretty much on top of each other- so close that when we got back one evening our neighbours had to move all of their chairs off our pitch so we could park back up.

There is no lighting around the camp at all. Husband is visually impaired and we have never struggled at a campsite before as there has always been at least low lighting on the sides of paths etc. There was absolutely nothing here and so I had to go everywhere with him after dusk as he couldn't navigate the site safely.

The site didn't feel safe. I can't put my finger on why but both of us felt unsafe and just... not right on the site.

Paying 50p for a shower in a filthy, flooded shower block. This wasn't a cheap campsite and we felt we were being ripped off. We knew in advance we'd have to pay for showers, but when you're paying over £300 for a site you should be able to eclectic showers to be included

Ladies showers in communal shower block flooded at least once a day

Despite there being 2 shower blocks, there are actually only 5 showers (6 if you count the disabled shower) each for men and women. One of these had a hole in it and was dripping water from a pipe somewhere so that's 4 total. For a campsite with 2 camp fields, static caravans, bell tents, shepherds huts and a small population of permanent residents...it's no where near enough

Primitive grass campsite

Liked love the fact that this is a family friendly site with a bar that is extremely reasonably piced for an on site bar. we had stayed previously and managed to get the same pitch as we had previously had when requested. this place ius friendly close to plenty of places to go its dog friendly and well priced

Disliked toilet and shower blocks are a walk from the hayfield part of the site,
no advertised opening times for the bar

Liked Fabulous campsite, plenty of space for our motorhome and awning, shower blocks were always clean and tidy, the bar that opens on weekends is a great touch, as are the food vans!

Disliked The noise from the airplanes! 🙈 I know it can't be helped, but you do get used to it after a couple of days.

Powered grass campsite

Liked Campsite was nice, toilets & showers clean.
Nice little play area for kids.

Disliked The planes - I didn’t realise we were so close to Gatwick. I’m a light sleeper and hardly slept, not the campsites fault at all - but just a warning for other light sleepers.

The children however slept like logs 😂

Paid extra did WiFi but it didn’t work at all.
