It was close to where we needed to be

Being under the Gatwick flight path was no where near as noisy as some reviews said- by 12.30am its pretty much silent

No em va agradar The toilet/shower blocks were filthy. Not a little bit dirty, genuinely filthy.

The middle shower block for women had a hole in the ceiling that, when I reported it, the maintenance man didn't know about, which is telling add it was very clearly not a new hole.

The pitches were pretty much on top of each other- so close that when we got back one evening our neighbours had to move all of their chairs off our pitch so we could park back up.

There is no lighting around the camp at all. Husband is visually impaired and we have never struggled at a campsite before as there has always been at least low lighting on the sides of paths etc. There was absolutely nothing here and so I had to go everywhere with him after dusk as he couldn't navigate the site safely.

The site didn't feel safe. I can't put my finger on why but both of us felt unsafe and just... not right on the site.

Paying 50p for a shower in a filthy, flooded shower block. This wasn't a cheap campsite and we felt we were being ripped off. We knew in advance we'd have to pay for showers, but when you're paying over £300 for a site you should be able to eclectic showers to be included

Ladies showers in communal shower block flooded at least once a day

Despite there being 2 shower blocks, there are actually only 5 showers (6 if you count the disabled shower) each for men and women. One of these had a hole in it and was dripping water from a pipe somewhere so that's 4 total. For a campsite with 2 camp fields, static caravans, bell tents, shepherds huts and a small population of permanent residents...it's no where near enough

Em va agradar Campsite was nice, toilets & showers clean.
Nice little play area for kids.

No em va agradar The planes - I didn’t realise we were so close to Gatwick. I’m a light sleeper and hardly slept, not the campsites fault at all - but just a warning for other light sleepers.

The children however slept like logs 😂

Paid extra did WiFi but it didn’t work at all.

No em va agradar Relatively large number of residential campers, in German, unheimisch atmosphere, landing lane of airport nearby

Em va agradar Schnelle Anbindung nach Lingfield zum Zug nach London.

No em va agradar Fluglärm von der Einflugschneise Gatwick, sehr langer Weg zu den Toiletten, einmal am Tag reinigen der Sanitäranlagen ist bei diesem riesen Platz zu wenig, ständig überschwemmt Toiletten da Dusche mit in der Kabine ist, Waschbecken zu klein, keine Ablage zum Zähne putzen,kein Wasser bei den unteren Strom und ohne Strom Plätze, offenbar beliebt bei Ferienteeniegruppen, laut und Distanzlos, Duschen hat Geld gekostet und diese Automaten haben nicht immer funktioniert, Geld war dann weg!

Em va agradar Great little find. The site was clean and tidy. Staff were incredibly helpful. It was hot at the weekend and we have a dog. The lady on reception was really supportive and changed our pitch, giving us more shade, so a big thank you!

The bar and TV for football was very welcome, as was the delicious food van.

Probably the best campsite we have experienced for sending out lots of valuable information before you arrive.

It had a really nice vibe and we would definitely return.

No em va agradar We was camping on hay 70, the only thing was the welfare block being a fair walk away

Em va agradar Showers and toilets clean and tidy, bar onsite although only open Fri and sat, they have a projector screen and showed England game, food vans at site over weekend nice touch

No em va agradar Toilets, showers and washing up too far from pitch, site untidy and unkept bins over flowing, ash bins broken, random old furniture just laying around personally wouldn’t return for these reasons, also wasn’t aware the site had large amount of permanent residents
