Liked What a fantastic place. Love the family atmosphere. The staff are so nice and friendly. Nothing is a problem. My husband have a medical and we need to cancel our booking. Normally you loose your money. They were so kind to let us rebooked it. Proper nice people. The Woodfire oven pizza it’s amazing. The activities are great. Just make sure you booked them in a lot of advance. Recommend the Quad bike for kids. The kids love to toast marshmallows in the fire. The fishing lake is gorgeous. My kids are teens. But if you have toddlers. The soft play open into the bar. Brilliant 🤩 would defo come back.

Liked Hey Marwell, well what can I say, absolutely excellent stay, everyone is so friendly, welcoming and very approachable, me and my family had an amazing weekend. Perfect balance of checking everything is going well without being overpowering. I will definitely be visiting again next year (probably several times).

Liked Location was great. Campsite was very clean. Bar good, Golf fun but too long for us (group of 9) Shower facilities cleaned 3 time a day. Wife enjoyed clay pigeon shooting. Allowing fire pits is great especially when you have got children with you and they can roast marshmallows :)

Disliked We all felt that the end of season is far too early. A lot of other campers we spoke to were looking forward to taking part in a few activities but told the season had finished. Even the shop was closed! Maybe extend the season by 4 weeks (you'll make a bit more money;)
Dislike the no drone policy. Even though i understand why, i do it for photography reasons and fly away from the site.

Liked Excellent communication and customer service, particularly Emma who couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely flat pitches, pitches were well spaced apart. The toilets were clean and well stocked with hand soap/loo roll and the showers had hooks, step and wooden foot boards. The washing up facilities were well lit but no plugs so bring a washing up bowl. Pleased to see good recycling and waste facilities.

Liked Nice campsite, clean lots of space.

Showers/toilet nice and kept clean, Fishing great, nice little bar and restaurant.

Disliked No activities on, no shop open, when asked why they said it’s only open in busy times, I think this is wrong as people are still paying to stay there for the same price. Could have a little shop in reception for essentials,
No where to buy sanitary product.
Restaurant food was very good but very rushed and the man was taking the plates away before we had finished eating.
Some things were over priced.
No entertainment after August.
WiFi not great but we was ok with this.

Local attractions

Marwell Zoo (five minutes' drive) has over 140 different species to admire – you can also leave the car back at base and stroll over (about 20 minutes) for a pedestrian safari. Paultons Park (25 minutes' drive) is another perennial fave for family-oriented days out – here you can meet Peppa Pig, crash down log flumes or opt for wanders through a dinosaur-filled forest. The South Downs National Park has some truly splendid hiking trails, including the 100-mile-long South Downs Way (the trail starts 15 minutes down the road in Winchester). Mountain bikers also have plenty to choose from around these parts – an exhilarating bike track through the woods is on hand in the nearby village of Bishopstoke (10 minutes). The gorgeous New Forest National Park (25 minutes) is also within easy reach, and one of the best ways to get around is by open-top tour bus. There are three routes to choose from – it all comes down to whether you prefer vistas of heather-covered heathland or coastal explores. Speaking of the sea, beaches like Lepe and Highcliffe Castle (both 40 minutes) are very much worth the journey (make sure to pack jelly shoes and a towel if at all tempted).
