A serene campsite with a gorgeous lake, ideal for swimming & diving. Reviewers laud the welcoming staff & spotless amenities, including hot showers. Convenient for hikes, pubs & transit. Great location and a beautiful setting.…
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Great location and a beautiful setting. The cafe is a nice bonus and the swimming lake is great. There are sufficient showers and toilets. We had a well placed pitch close to the facilities. Hairdryer in the changing rooms was a useful addition and the mirrors. Obviously there because of the swimming/diving facility. Information provided before arrival was really helpful.
We didn’t eat in the cafe but it was busy and the food we saw looked good.
Great local walking with the dog and lots of facilities close by.
Disliked The washing up facility wasn’t great but we could wash up in our van if we had to. Generally the facilities were clean, I think there was a general lack of care and attention in the shower room/toilet area. They needed a more frequent check.
The water tap at the barn didn’t work.
The pitches are somewhat rough and ready - levellers were definitely required.

Lovely little hidden campsite
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Nice and quiet campsite which is well hidden from the main road. Staff were friendly, facilities were good. Everywhere seemed clean and tidy. Pitches were an ample size. The lake was lovely to look at and sit by in the evenings.
Disliked Showers were cold in the evenings after the centre had closed, as we had picked a very hot weekend, it wasn't too bad, but other times might be a nuisance for campers, especially if they've been out all day.
We had a electric hook up pitch, but randomly when we came back from a day out, it had been taken away. The centre was closed so asked the next morning, the staff knew nothing about it and were very apologetic and said they would sort it. Unfortunately they didn't, but I knew they were very busy that particular day, so had to take matters into my own hands and found the lost cable at a nearby hard standing pitch. No blame on the centre at all, I think someone just chanced their luck!

A great site which will now become a regular stop over
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked What a lovely site the facilities are really good - The on site swimming lake is great, beautiful and safe - supervised sessions for swimmers and diving lessons available lovely sauna at
The lake side, cafe and heat changing facility's. The camping field is lovely and the camper pitches level and well thought out . Location feels hidden away but actually adjacent to shops ( 10 min away) pub (5 min walk) , buses to Southampton / Fareham/ Portsmouth and lovely walks on river or woods . Chandlery and boat yards walking distance . A great place to stop over

Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Lake setting, facilities and shop. Staff very friendly.
Disliked Pitch was essentially a passing place on the access driveway to the main camping field. Felt like they’d just squeezed a few non-electric campervan pitches in. Very little space.

Small site but wonderfully perfect. Staff super helpful.
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Everything. Enough space for up to 6 motor homes (most with electric hook up). It has a separate area for tents too. It has access to showers and toilets. A small cafe area in front of the diving lake also used for paddle boarding or cold water swimming if you are brave enough. It also has a sauna. There are three lovely restuarants/pubs 10 mins walking distance and another a little further away.
Disliked Nothing
