What customers say
This site offers a peaceful waterside setting with clean facilities, praised for its friendly staff and convenience to local pubs and amenities. The lake is a popular feature for swimming and diving. While many appreciate the tranquil atmosphere and good facilities, some mention uneven pitches, potential traffic noise, and shared facilities with public lake users. Washing-up facilities and shower temperature are occasionally noted as areas for improvement.

Powered grass tent campsite
Liked The lake is pretty, some staffs were really lovely.
Disliked Unfortunately not the best experience for a camping.
The ground was uneven and on the slant so it was difficult to sleep.
We left after one night because after bank holiday Monday the camp was completely empty and we didn’t feel safe. They have no night guard, the camp has no proper fence, next to a forest, very hidden spot.
Even you are in the campground you still have to pay for swimming and sauna (get a bit of discount).
The food and drinks are expensive.
Somehow we had a feeling that everything is about the lake and the activities there but you can put up your tent if you wanted but nothing else. So after all we were disappointed.

Functional / interesting stopover with nice people and walks from door
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked Pleasant welcome from onsite staff along with easy autonomous access if required out of hours. Efficient Comms for booking. Quirky location, interesting to watch lake activities and refreshments on site. Services adequate and functioning. Good dog walks from door and nice pub c.5 mins walk
Disliked Pitches small and close to access track to camping field - ok for 6m van - may be tricky for larger. WC/showers shared with swimmers/divers so everything can be very wet at peak times (think swimming pool changing area)

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We love camping at Andark lake! This is probably our 6th time staying. The actual lake is amazing, we’ve just done paddle boarding there for the first time and it was so fun. The staff are helpful, the facilities (cafe/shower rooms) are great and the whole vibe is just magical

A lovely spot, lots to do if you want to but if not a very relaxing.
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked The location was great, the plot was a little uneven, very compact but you’re not allowed to use an awning anyway.
The pub down the road ‘The Old Ship’ had a very varied menu and piping hot food. We booked and used the lake, which was great fun, the staff were lovely and the wooded area was fun to explore - being at one with nature was just what we needed.
Disliked The showers were lukewarm and the flow wasn’t great.
