  • Peaceful dog-friendly Hampshire site with views over the countryside
  • A 25-minute drive from Winchester and half an hour from the New Forest
  • Footpaths, bridleways, bike trails and pubs nearby
Map out your way to a peaceful patch in the Hampshire countryside at The Tartan Goose Field. This dog-friendly site has a few frequent visitors, from wildlife to splendid sunsets and sunrises (birdsong included) – and, of course, there's a warm welcome for guests onto its hilltop setting, which has clear views towards Winchester and Farley Mount. Bridleways, footpaths and cycling trails are easy to follow from here, and they can carry you miles away if you wish. Handily, dogs are welcome on site (kept on leads at all times). Alfresco style is easy as pie here, as there’s already a firepit available for guests to use and a platform dining area where you’ll be able to gather your group together to eat outside. Restaurants and gastro pubs may very well factor into your time here. The site will be happy to help you choose a suitable venue, which is likely to include three splendid village pubs a short distance away, all with food and local beers. Please note that this is a working farm, so machines may sometimes be in operation.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Peace & quiet - beautiful views and very friendly hosts with furry friends.

Disliked: The site could benefit with better signage from the fork in the road onwards. There’s no sign showing tartan goose field.
