Despite its name, guests at Brocklands Farm are highly unlikely to be badgered by anyone during their stay… This simple and peaceful site near Petersfield in the South Downs National Park keeps its pitch numbers low so guests can have plenty of space. It's secluded from traffic noise, in a lush green valley surrounded by lovely walks. The on-site facilities are limited to chemical waste disposal and a drinking water supply, but it’s an easy walk to the village of West Meon, where there’s a pub that serves grub, plus an award-winning butcher and a well-stocked community shop. The spacious pitches here are grassy and fairly level; rally groups and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Liked We’d chosen the site as it was convenient to meet relatives and try a couple of nights in our motorhome without ehu. It was a perfect choice.
Loved the tranquility of this site and we were treated to a stunning sunset as a bonus on our first night. Easy walk into West Meon and can certainly recommend the shop, cafe and pub. We will be back explore the Meon Valley Trail fully.

Liked It was a lovely site, very quiet with an amazing railway walk from the site. This site was perfect for us, as we have all our facilities on board and the site only had waste facilities and water would stay again.

Liked The the countryside and relative peacefulness were great. The meon valley way and other walks were close at hand.

Disliked Access to the old railway line walk was. Very steep and difficult with a bike trailer. One other camper had extremely loud music on in the day.

Liked Lovely peaceful site with great walks but they are hilly so bare that in mind for restricted mobility persons. Water taps and fire safety equipment along the site.

Disliked Was all on a slop/hill not a major one but we did have to have our jacks all the way up with blocks for extra hight and even then we still weren't flat. But we are in an OLD motorhome so that could be something to do with it. Not so much a dislike but it is just a field so kids won't have any entertainment, we brought board games and toys.

Liked Quiet relaxed setting. Local shop, pub and fabulous walks. Direct access to the Meon valley way for cycle rides and friendly owners. Perfect place to get away from it all.
We love the simplicity of the site. Not our first time and won’t be our last.

Route directions

About 500 metres south of the village of West Meon, turn into entrance. Keep straight ahead leaving farm buildings to your right and continue up a concrete track and under a bridge. The site is just under the disused railway bridge. Please check under the bridge for a site plan. Otherwise pitch end-in to the bank on your left on any free pitch.

The tree-lined former railway line that runs next to Brocklands is an excellent starting point for rambles and cycle rides; a popular destination a couple of miles away is Old Winchester Hill, a nature reserve with an Iron Age Hill fort. is also very handy for the South Downs Way, for those who want to walk or pedal further afield. The Watercress Line heritage railway, which runs from New Alresford to Alton, is another lovely way to explore the Hampshire countryside; or if you prefer to stay put, you could always park yourself in a scenic spot at the Moorhen Trout Fishery up the road. For a fulfilling day trip, wend your way to winsome Winchester: if you’re lucky, you may catch the famous choir in action within the splendour of the 900-year-old cathedral; other visitor attractions in this charming and compact city include a range of excellent museums, castle ruins, and an Arthurian round table, plus fab restaurants and independent shops. Lively Chichester is another pleasant place to while away a day, or you could head to Portsmouth to take a harbour tour and visit the historic dockyards, where HMS Victory and the Mary Rose are among the naval exhibits on display.
