Liked The camping field was spacious and the toilets and showers were very close and clean.
My daughter and I enjoyed the nature trail. We also enjoyed our visits to the Wild Boar Park which was just down the hill from the camping field. At first I was disappointed, as I realised I had booked two days when the Park was closed however it was great to be able to visit the Park between 11am and 3pm as a camping guest even though it was closed to the general public, as we got to park all to ourselves on our first visit!

Disliked I felt that the check in time for camping could have been earlier than 4pm, due to campers checking out at 10am and the field being free from that time until the next visitors arrive.

Liked What a fantastic place. The greeting was warm and site is amazing. The facilities are the best I’ve seen for a long time with wet room shower facilities which are clean and modern. The shop has the basics you need if you forget something. The site itself is really good value for money. Walks around the woods are interesting and a great place for kids to explore. A great surprise was coming across the,,,!
I would definitely recommend and come back.

Liked The setting, cleanliness and layout of Bowland escapes were excellent. Myself and son camped out but would also come back with family in the other accommodation.

Liked Beautiful spot - very quiet, fantastic views and great facilities. We pitched our tent by the woods and spotted hare and roe deer in the quiet, calm conditions of this campsite.
Very clean toilet and showers - separate unisex bathrooms is lovely - and takes the camping up a notch!
Easy access to local walks and places to eat if you're not campfire cooking, but you can purchase wood and hire a fire pit if staying in the campsite.
Gorgeous place - will definitely return.

Liked Location, cleanliness of facilities, uniqueness of Iron Age roundhouse. Lovely campsite which felt safe for kids. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked A couple more signs would help in finding the park which was quite a bit further on than the Sat nav directions.

Liked Pods were a good size with electric and although you can’t park alongside, they are a two minute walk at most so not overly impactful. Nice little play area for children and although we didn’t have time to explore, you are able to visit the Boar Park.

Disliked Upon arrival the pod immediately opposite us (a group of 3 youngish adults) was playing club music. As it was directly opposite, this was really jarring. We also then found that there was a wasps nest in the roof of the pod. To their credit the site team did come out and move us to another pod (which was also thankfully slightly quieter as the planting absorbed more of the noise). But perhaps given the wasps were a known issue with that pod, and the fact that we were a family with young children as opposed to 3 young adults, perhaps we should have been in the other pod from the off. The faff of moving pods and being forced to listen to tinny music whilst tipping it down did unfortunately cut into our time and enjoyment given we were only there for one night as a stop over.

Liked Beautiful, quiet, remote, off grid setting. Reception very helpful. Spotlessly clean

Disliked Only 2 combined shower/toilets for the camping field. Not able to drive onto the camping field to unload/load equipment. Luckily weather was dry.
