  • Quiet family-run site five minutes’ drive from Tattenhall in Cheshire
  • Shropshire Union Canal five minutes’ drive and Chester 20 minutes
  • Wildlife pond and walks on site; pubs and shops five minutes’ drive
Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk to see if you can spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops, plus pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork as far as food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, head for Delamere Forest for walks and bike rides, while Chester (both 20 minutes’ drive) makes a great cultural day out. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

Rabbit primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked I actually loved it here and will definitely be back for a little escape from the demands of the real world.
Felt peaceful and safe.
I really like how they have managed the separate dog walking field - keeping it wild with mowed paths. Looked really pretty but also respectful to wildlife.
The lady who runs the site was really lovely and helpful.
Toilets and showers were clean and the pot wash area had a roof.
Right next to a country store and cafe.
Short drive into Tattenhall Village for pubs / spar.

Robin powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Nice spacious pitches but electric tripping all the time , codes for the main gate to get in plus chunky padlock , code for showers / toilets! Rules for this rules for that ! It made it tense and not laid back which camping , caravan etc is all about

Liked Really nice stay at Manor Farm Caravan Park
Just got back from a few nights at Manor Farm Caravan Park. Really lovely little site! Peaceful farmland setting with nice views, but still handy for Chester and the Ice Cream Farm.
Pitches were decent sized and the facilities were clean and modern. The owners were super friendly and helpful too. Felt relaxed and well looked after the whole time.
Great spot if you want somewhere quiet but not too far from things. Would happily go back! 👍

Liked We had a lovely stay! We wanted somewhere close by to Chester zoo and this was perfect. Nice tidy site, showers were powerful and proper showers not ones you have to keep turning on after a few seconds which was great! lovely friendly and helpful owners. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Local attractions

When it comes to keeping younger kids happy, they should be well pleased by a visit to The Ice Cream Farm (five minutes’ drive), where they can run riot on the play areas, join craft workshops and choose their favourite ice-cream flavours. Chester Zoo (15 minutes) is always a popular choice for the chance to see elephants, giraffes and rare rhinos. The handsome city of Chester (20 minutes) itself makes a great day out, thanks to rambles around its Roman/medieval walls. You can also join guided walks around The Rows, a series of half-timbered Tudor-era buildings, and climb the tower at the medieval cathedral. Closer to home, Tattenhall (five minutes) is a historic village with lots of black-and-white architecture to admire. If you’re keen to get out and about in the Cheshire countryside, head to Delamere Forest (20 minutes) and its labyrinth of walking, horse-riding and cycling trails. You can also enjoy family adventures along the Shropshire Union Canal (five minutes), join the Sandstone Trail for woodland jaunts or play a round of golf (both 10 minutes).
