  • A 20-minute drive to Peckover House or Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre
  • Three fishing lakes on site, suitable for all angling abilities
A view? Well, yes indeed – the accommodation is just part of the offering at North View Lodges, because this Lincolnshire site also has three lovely fishing lakes to provide a pretty backdrop to your glamping stay. There are two main ways to soak up those views. The first of these is to hang out on the deck of your lodge, which has been provided with outdoor furniture so you can gaze out over the lake in comfort. Each lodge also has a kitchen (with cooker, microwave, fridge and kettle) and a gas barbecue so you can sort yourself some snacks/meals/drinks to keep you going while you relax in the fresh air (there’s a good local supermarket 10 minutes’ walk away for all the supplies). The other option, of course, is to get down to the lakes for some fishing. Lots of varieties are up for grabs (carp, bream and catfish among them) and all levels are catered for, from complete beginners to experienced anglers – you’ll just need to make sure you’ve got the right licence, and follow the catch-and return policy. When you’re not fishing (or in fact, if you don’t want to fish at all) you can fill your time with golf, riding lessons and birdwatching, or pay visits to a bunch of smart stately homes. Peterborough, Spalding and Wisbech are all close by for town wanders and shopping too. Back at your lodge you’ll also have plenty of space to relax – each one has a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a TV and sofa, and beds are made up for your arrival so you can flop into bed whenever you’re ready.

Liked: Loved everything this Lodge and Lake had to offer. The lodge was very clean, nice decking area that over looks the Lake. Thank you for the carton of Milk and the necessities like Salt and Pepper and Coffee. We’re a couple who love Fishing so it was very convenient for us. Very grateful to have the shed so we would store our Fishing gear safely overnight. We loved it all that much that we asked Claire if we would stay another night and she kindly let us. Would highly recommend and we’re already planning our next date to return!

Mallard 2 bedroom lodge (pet friendly)

Liked: Immaculate luxury Lodge and fantastic fishing. My husband, son and daughter in law had some very large fish from the pleasure lake. Claire was lovely making sure we were happy and asking if there was anything extra we needed but the lodge had everything we could possibly have needed. Everything was brand new. The large BBQ was excellent 👌 Lovely quite site 😀 Would highly recommend. We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night. We will be coming back.

Disliked: Nothing

Mallard 2 bedroom lodge (pet friendly)

Heron 2 bedroom lodge (no pets)

Liked: What an excellent lodge! We stayed for two nights as a family of four and had a great mini break. The lodge is well equipped and Claire was lovely and made sure we had all we needed and everything in the lodge was spotless. Very peaceful small camp site. The view from the lodge was fabulous to wake up to each morning. The lakes looked popular and well kept. We used the lodge as a base and travelled around the area - the Baytree Owl centre and Springfields Shopping outlet are worth a visit. The little Morrison's near by had all the basics. Would definitely recommend if you like glamping and have fishing at the doorstep.
