What customers say
Spacious, level sites with great country views. Staff are super friendly & helpful. On-site restaurant & bar are good value. Farm animals add charm. Facilities are clean but dated, some need updating. Overall, a great stay with many wanting to return.

Not an enjoyable stay.
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Plenty of space to pitch your tent as there are no allocated areas. The shower and toilets were very clean.
Disliked The grass for pitching was very soft and the entrance to the field was just pure mud. A lot of car and campers were getting stuck which churned up the field more. This made going to the facilities very difficult under foot. The pitches are not well keep or maintained. Apparently there is only one sink for washing up however couldn’t find it. The cafe and reception area are very dated.

From the manager: We appreciate your feedback, though we’re disappointed with your score. This was our opening weekend, and unfortunately, Storm David brought wet and windy weather beyond our control. Campervans were moved to hardstanding, and we asked guests to avoid unnecessary driving and leave cars in the car park, which most did. We were also happy to offer rebooking for another time if anyone preferred to pack up. Your rating is puzzling, as you mentioned our toilets were very clean—yet gave us only a 2.5—and seemingly disliked the location to rate it a 1.
The Café and Bar have just been newly refurbished, with Friday being our first day of opening, so the decor and chairs are brand new and won’t be replaced again this season so we are sorry if you found it not to your taste.

Everything a camper needs
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked The Boe Rigg has everything a camper would need. A quality bar and restaurant serving good food. The pitches are of a very good size, well spaced out and offer brilliant views.
The amenities are clean, tidy and well maintained. They also have the best showers I've used on a campsite, hot, powerful and no annoying timer.
We truly enjoyed our stay.
