Remote, wild, spacious and scenic are all terms rightly fitting The Boe Rigg, in Northumberland National Park a few miles from the market town of Bellingham. Walking and cycling routes are all around here, along with a huge range of outdoor activities within a short drive including the high ropes, watersports and zipwires of Kielder Water and Forest. Also within driving distance are several famed north of England attractions such as Hadrian's Wall and Alnwick Castle, both under 40 miles, and the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, under 50. The site's excellent facilities include a café/bar open at weekends serving breakfasts and alternating evening menus such as pizzas or burgers. Among The Boe Rigg's other amenities are newly refurbished washrooms with toilets and hot showers as well as a washing-up area and a small shop selling camping essentials and basic supplies such as sugar and teabags. Campfires and barbecues are both allowed but must be off the ground.

喜欢 friendly staff, choice of pitch as the site was not busy, lovely location within an hour walk of Bellingham, electric hook up and water on the pitch, clean and tidy toilet and shower facilities

不喜欢 bar / food only open at weekends, so we missed out and had to go off site. Not given any wifi option, so not sure if available or not

喜欢 Location is lovely and prices are great, only stayed one night as a stop off on the road, on site pub seemed like a nice atmosphere but I didn't spend time there.

不喜欢 Neighbouring group were a little noisy late into the night but as can happen, only loud conversation, no shouting or anything of the sort

喜欢 We had the best time at The Boe Rigg! ⛺️🐾

The campsite was lovely and peaceful, and having electric hook-up and water right beside our pitch was so convenient. The toilets and showers were really clean and well looked after, and all of the staff we met were really friendly and welcoming.

It was our first trip with our roof tent and we had such a good experience. The tent was really comfy and our dog absolutely loved his first camping trip too! 🐶

The site itself was really quiet and peaceful — although the neighbouring sheep and cows had other ideas during the night! 😂🐑🐄

We had a brilliant stay and would definitely recommend The Boe Rigg. We can’t wait for our next camping trip!

喜欢 Good size pitches plenty to choose from..

Clean facilities.

Nice little bar / cafe onsite.

不喜欢 Timed it wrong with a motorbike event been on so I take it same sex groups are allowed.

A little noisy coming for the bar area on a night, especially one guy who liked the sound of his own laugh 😆

Was reminded at reception that there was no music so spent the weekend listening to other peoples loud conversations and someone watching a movie loudly at 2:30am so no so much as a quiet site in my opinion.

We are pleased you liked our sites facilities.
Just to clarify a few of your issues, The Motorbike event, which was taking place in Kielder Forest with very small number of bikes was not however a single sex group and did actually include female riders, all of whom would of only likely disturbed you with snoring after 10pm 😴 😁
We do not allow groups for Stag, Hen or any other type of party.
As we are a quiet site, our bar closed at 9pm, and was empty by 10 so any noise you heard was not from there but from people staying at one of the holiday lets behind the site, these are not part of the campsite.
We regularly walk around and check the site for noise or disturbances so must of missed the movie, sorry, they probably didn't realise how loud it was and a polite knock on the door/tent I'm sure would have sorted it.

Kielder Water and Forest within 16 miles are full of watersports activities such as canoeing, sailing, and waterskiing, along with water walker and sea scooter hire. A high ropes course, climbing, zipwiring, fencing, archery and crossbow are among the many forest activities available on and above land. Three of the attractions of the Hadrian's Wall UNESCO World Heritage site are within a short drive: Housesteads Roman fort, the most complete in Britain; Vindolanda, and Chesters Roman Fort, six miles from Hexham. Also famed in the region is Alnwick Castle and Garden 37 miles away, made up of huge formal gardens including the world's largest treehouse, and in a setting that will be instantly recognised by Harry Potter fans (broomstick training is available during the summer months: how magic). The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is about 45 miles from here, to reach Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island via moorland, countryside and ancient forest. The site is 45 miles from Carlisle.
