Remote, wild, spacious and scenic are all terms rightly fitting The Boe Rigg, in Northumberland National Park a few miles from the market town of Bellingham. Walking and cycling routes are all around here, along with a huge range of outdoor activities within a short drive including the high ropes, watersports and zipwires of Kielder Water and Forest. Also within driving distance are several famed north of England attractions such as Hadrian's Wall and Alnwick Castle, both under 40 miles, and the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, under 50. The site's excellent facilities include a café/bar open at weekends serving breakfasts and alternating evening menus such as pizzas or burgers. Among The Boe Rigg's other amenities are newly refurbished washrooms with toilets and hot showers as well as a washing-up area and a small shop selling camping essentials and basic supplies such as sugar and teabags. Campfires and barbecues are both allowed but must be off the ground.

Liked Staff were super friendly and helpful couldn’t fault them, area was amazing and so close to kielder for taking the dog. Views were great too.

Liked Lovely campsite with the most amazing views of the Northumberland countryside, great for stargazing, we had a lovely night watching the harvest moon and sunset, you can also have a campfire of the ground.
Very friendly welcome.
Clean modern showers and toilets.
Great view from bar and restaurant on the veranda.

During your stay with us although closed on Wednesday and Thursday, the Bar&Café was open on Friday evening and also Saturday morning before your departure.
This is clearly stated in our bio on the pitch up description of the site so visitors are aware before they book to avoid disappointment.

Liked Had the best time at Boe Rigg!
The owner was so welcoming and accommodating to make sure we had a comfortable stay.
Facilities were very clean and well maintained.
The bar and restaurant on site were a great perk and served some lovely food.
Location was ideal with so many options within a short drive, we ventured to Kielder for a long walk and also stopped by Corbridge on our way home.
We will absolutely return and highly recommend to anyone else!

Liked This is the most gorgeous campsite, and we are now returning visitors! There is a lovely community feeling around the site, lovely bar/cafe and toilet block is fantastic. Great that you can park car next to tent. Cant think of anything to complain about! Bellingham is a 5 min drive if you’ve forgotten anything!

Liked Gorgeous spot, the pictures do not do it justice! Dog-friendly both in the camping field and bar/café, really clean and well-kept facilities, super friendly staff and a good range of drinks/ food. Surrounding area has some nice walks, a lovely little village with a nice riverside walk where dogs can be let off the lead. Can see the stars and the Milky Way at night, amazing!

Liked Great, small but very well equipped site. Toilets & showers were nice and warm, a great little campers’ kitchen and the bar/cafe serving food and drinks. Lovely location too. We stopped here one night during a circuit of the Northumberland 250.
