Fantastic camp site - Highly recommend. Myself, my partner and our family friend spend a lot of time traveling and camping all over the UK and this has to be one of the top 10 places we have stayed!!

The facilities are clean and you have your own cubicle with WC, Shower, Sink and Mirror so ideal - No sharing the toilets with other people...

Indoor and Outdoor washing up facilities, coffee machine, fridge and freezer available. Perfect for any campers needs.

Pitches are a lovely size and the camp site does not feel cramped at all.

There are animals on site that you care welcome to say hello to and they are lovely, friendly and good for kids!!

Parking next to your tent is also ideal- No long walks...

Owners are lovely and have a beautiful black Labrador who is the most friendliest, loving dog (We had a good long cuddle)

The surrounding area speaks for itself...

I had an excellent stay with my godson. He was so impressed he asked if we could hook the caravan up and take it away!
It was lovely and quiet and the facilities were perfect. Loved the chickens as well who were happy to have some scraps.

Upgraded to a large private pitch which was amazing for us! Loads of space with BBQ/ cooking area. Other pitches all seemed to be flat and ok size for a medium/large tent plus one car. Nice small field area to walk dog around. Plenty of showers and toilets. Nice location close to Pickering.

    Disliked:

No spare loo roll in the toilets - it was available in the washing up area but you had to go looking for it. Signage from the road could be clearer.

From the manager...

Hello,

Thank you for your review, we are pleased you were happy with your upgrade and enjoyed our small site.

The signage you have mentioned we are currently looking into a new sign so everyone can find us easier.

There is plenty of toilet rolls kept in the kitchenette (right next to the shower facilities) as if we kept them in the showers they go damp and become unusable.

VERY noisy road like wacky races starting about five in the morning, traffic all night long.grass was very long,Then comes Friday night all the weekenders come very loud, the site is a caravan club certificate site yet there was seven caravans pitched.

From the manager...

Hi, sorry you didn’t like your stay here.

“Wacky races” I’m unsure about, probably just farmers going out in their tractors and such. As we are on a road mainly with farm land all around.

We are a family friendly site as stipulated on pitch up, we are sorry the “weekenders” annoyed you.

We are a caravan club certified site but no longer run as one hence us being on pitch up, so it doesn’t matter how many we have on site.

You booked on here so I don’t know why it has annoyed you that we had 7 pitches on instead of 5.
This leaves me thinking this review is unfair.

As for the grass being long all I can do is apologise but due to people panic buying fuel and garages shutting all over the place we can’t cut the grass as we are unable to get the fuel at the moment to do so.

Sorry you won’t be staying with us again
