Pitch up in Pickering at Oak Tree Farm Park to be in a prime place for pottering around some of the best parts of North Yorkshire… villages, markets, Dalby Forest and first-rate walking and cycling routes are all close by.

Oak Tree Farm is a small and welcoming site with friendly free-range hens and a couple of pigs and goats (which the kids are welcome to interact with). The farm has a toilet block, showers and dishwashing facilities: a £1 honesty box contribution is used for the showers.

Oak Tree Farm Park welcomes families and couples of all ages, but doesn't accept group bookings or group multiple bookings.

    Owner is friendly nice size pitch toilets and showers are very clean and good. Shower is hot and powerful. Gets very dark and can see the stars very clearly at night. Very relaxing trip

    What a gem of a little site,welcomed by the owner and shown to our pitch.Good site for kids the animals are a bonus. Yes the showers could do with a little TLC but they were hot,powerful and clean.Went into Pickering a lovely little market town,quirky little shops and plenty of steam trains.Wifi and TV reception were brilliant.A lovely stay and we will return . Thank you

    This is our second time and a lovely time had by all. The addition of pygmy goats as neighbours was pleasant surprise.

    Nice peaceful site, with loads of roaming Goats, Ducks and chickens. Nice to wake up to a pen full of animals in the morning.

    Good sized pitches. Coffee machine available, warm clean showers. Really close to north York moors railway.

    Disliked: 

    Some finishing touches in the showers would be nice (trim round the edges of the ceilings and the paint is peeling off above the shower) but nothing that affected the stay.

Local attractions

Most tastes and budgets are catered for in the shops, cafés, restaurants and bars of nearby Pickering, a town that's also home to the highly popular North Yorkshire Moors Railway and the start of its 18-mile run through the North York Moors National Park and the neighbouring villages of Goathland and Grosmont. Trains run daily from the beginning of April to the end of October.

From Grosmont, flit to the seaside resort of gothtastic Whitby for Whitby Abbey, sailing, surfing and diving, the Whitby Regatta and award-winning fish and chips at the Magpie Café.

Dalby Forest is within a 10-minute drive of Oak Tree Farm Park and is filled with activities like paintballing, adventure courses, walking and cycling routes, and treetop adventuring at Go Ape. There's also a visitor centre with stacks of organised events and activities, and plenty of picnic areas for forest-based food.

Also locally, markets selling local produce of high quality are in Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley and Malton.

Oak Tree Farm Park cancellation policy

No refunds within 1 week of arrival date.

Modifications are subject to a £5.00 (€5.76) fee.

The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.

Please note that your deposit is paid to Pitchup.com and is non-refundable.

Payment

A 15% non-refundable deposit is payable now. Oak Tree Farm Park will debit the balance from your card 1 week before arrival, or if the arrival date is sooner than 1 week then the balance will be taken immediately.

You can also opt to pay the full amount at the time of your booking, or at any point before the due date.
