Small, secluded back-to-basics farm site with a nature pond

Sunnyside Campsite is a peaceful one-acre site with spacious grassy pitches surrounded by ash trees and hawthorn bushes. This small-scale meadow is also easily accessible by public transport – Brampton station is a 10-minute cycle or 30-minute walk from base. This fab farm site has a nature pond, kids' play area and a tumbledown old stable that houses the spick and span toilets and water point. Other handy facilities here include a washing-up point and use of a shared fridge freezer. Campfires and barbecues are allowed (as long as they're raised off the ground). Firepits are available to hire on site, and logs and charcoal can also be bought from the little honesty shop. Fish suppers are on the cards on Thursdays, when fresh local seafood is sold from a visiting van. Sunnyside Campsite is in a prime location for cyclists, who can set out on long or short-distance pedals along National Cycle Route 1 that passes at the end of the lane. Walkers and folk who like messing around in boats also have lots of options here – the Suffolk coastline can be reached in under 20 minutes' drive, while the Norfolk Broads are under a half hour away. The site is a few minutes' stroll from a friendly community pub and a village play area. Cafés, restaurants and a larger supermarket are all in Halesworth (10 minutes' drive).

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Delightful family-run campsite. Especially enjoyed the wonderful home cooked pizza around the fire pit. Liked the little extras like freshly picked flowers in wc and bathroom, kettle, tea coffee and essential supplies in store room, fresh eggs, homemade cake.
Friendly, secluded with easy drive to Southwold, Walberswick and further afield.
Thanks for an enjoyable stay. We hope to return.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Great, small and family run campsite. Owners were lovely, friendly and even provided baked goods. Great samlls tore with fridge, freezer and kettle on hand for all to share. Clean toilets and shower facilities. Great walks and sunsets from the campsite.

Disliked There was a strong smell from what smelt like the septic tank when the wind blew in certain directions, the plot nearest the bins had the full impact of this and it could be smlet in teh tent.

Liked We really loved the simplicity and space available at the campsite, the toilet and shower area were lovely and clean and the owners we spoke to (albeit briefly) were lovely, welcoming and very friendly. Plenty of on site activities for the children to use and explore, and the store, whilst we didn’t use it, was well stocked with huge variety.

Sunny powered grass campsite

Liked Great location, lovely small campsite with amazing sunset views. Fantastic wooded area with plenty of seating for relaxing including hammocks. Great play area for kids set up in the wooded area. Owner super friendly.

Stroll along the long pier, stopping for ice cream or fish and chips, then head into town and the Southwold Museum for a primer on local history. With their reed-lined ponds and shallow lagoons, the marshes of RSPB Minsmere (30 minutes) are home to avocets, curlews and marsh harriers – plus the occasional (but elusive) otter. Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
There is no reception at this park. Please check-in at the at The Shippen instead.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
The park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Extras

A charge of £1.00 ($1.34) applies for the use of the shower.
Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.
