Bring those boots made for walking, for you'll be hungry for the hikes around Shropshire's Teds Farm Camping. Based in Sheriffhales about four miles from Telford, this peaceful, friendly and popular little site is in land where walks are all around, meandering for miles through the wildlife havens of the green Shropshire countryside. Ted's is a smallholding, with grass pitches on a gently sloping field set among the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chickens and ducks wander the site – the kids are welcome to say hi or go and meet some of the menagerie at the animal paddock – and free-range eggs and fresh meat are usually available for sale. Among the well-maintained amenities are showers and toilets, chemical disposal points and facilities for charging and recycling. There's easy access from the site to Sheriffhales village, just off the main A5.

Liked We had a lovely stay at Teds Farm Camping. We were given a warm welcome upon arrival and had a free choice of where to pitch as it was a quiet mid week visit. The toilet and shower facilities were spotlessly clean. Would happily stay again.

Liked Very friendly owners, lovely site perfect for families. Small shop on site with fresh bread, pastries, eggs and fruit plus anything else you may have forgotten!

Liked Arrival was easy , someone greeted us after ringing the call button on the arrival machine gates and talked us through everything . They selected a pitch for us but due to other spaces being free we were able to move where we preferred which was great and also really helpful as our dog is dog reactive and that can be challenging !
facilities were great , clean toilet block and quite big too , with 2 showers in there .
Never had to wait to go toilet and always had toilet paper in there etc.
They had a 2 sink washing up area which was very helpful and again one sink at least was always free when I had to use it which was great to not have to wait.

The scenery was nice , lots of open fields , there was a footpath to follow which we did for a little while and was an easy walk.

Farm shop was small but well stocked and everyone working including the server in there was friendly.

Disliked Not much around / in walking distance . Closest pub is about an hour walk , no evening entertainment but if you are looking for a peace and quiet campsite with walking places around this is ideal

Liked Large pitch size, facilities were clear, shop onsite was filled with local produce (brownies and strawberries are a must buy) and the owners were lovely and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.

FHU gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Great site,large hard standing with water and electric.Really friendly staff.Well stocked shop with fresh pastries in the morning.Toilet and showers spotless.Phone signal was good (EE) satellite signal was good.

Liked Really lovely site. Very warm welcome on arrival. Site was beautifully presented and the facilities immaculate and clean. Very quiet site, even with a large group enjoying a camping weeking at the end of the field. Fabulous farm shop too with the most delicions strawberries, warm pastries in the morning and local beers.

As you'll have brought your sturdy boots, stride out into the Shropshire Hills AONB in any direction for green countryside and wildlife haven walks, or drive in the Telford direction for a woodland wander around Wrekin Forest. Striding around establishments is also a topping option when on holiday in any locale, so check out the craft and antique shops, tearooms and pubs, grocers and butchers of the region's market towns like Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Oswestry, Bishops Castle, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth. Set in the centre of Shropshire on the River Severn, the Tudor town of Shrewsbury is also well worth a wander, for more shopping (but of course), Shrewsbury Abbey and Shrewsbury Castle, the museum and art gallery, town centre park and – if you're in town in mid-August – the famed Shrewsbury Flower Show. Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Extras

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 7 consecutive nights.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
