Company grows Italian offering with quirky new Airstream accommodation

UK offering reaches 812 sites with increasingly diverse choices

Further 571 sites throughout 11 European countries

Outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com continues to grow at speed as the company now features nearly 1,400 bookable listings throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, including a number of sites that are new for 2015.

The company features a diverse choice of accommodation ranging from simple tent pitches to luxury and chic lodges, pods and cabins.  The product is not all about accommodation either: many of the sites on Pitchup.com include unusual features or extras including safari lodges, accommodation on vineyards, and sites where visitors can learn everything from basket weaving and silk painting to Spanish and horse riding.

This year sees a collection of fun new sites and accommodation including:

Morphpod at Brandy House Farm

This brand new site has opened for the 2015 season offering funky outdoor accommodation in Powys, Wales.  The Morphpod is fully insulated, double glazed and comes with its own heater, making it an ideal choice both in winter and summer.

The spacious camping pod can accommodate up to four people and features a private canopied verandah with spectacular views over the Welsh hills and futon-style beds along with chairs and a table.  The pod can be made extra spacious during the day with the option to fold the beds into the walls.

Visitors can cook for themselves or book a campers’ breakfast to be delivered daily to the pod. Toilet and shower facilities are just 20 yards from the pod.

The pod costs from £40 per night.

Camping Ca’Savio

For those who like the super-cool style of the futuristic Airstream caravans, Camping Ca’Savio in Italy offers the country’s first bookable Airstream park.  The sleek Airstreams sleep up to four people and feature a double bed with a bow window to enjoy the view, plus a pull-out bed. There is a fully-equipped kitchen corner with gas cooker and storage. The Airstream has its own private awning and decked area complete with garden furniture.

The site is located with direct access to a beach, while the city of Venice is within easy reach. On-site facilities include a supermarket selling fresh Italian food and drinks and a restaurant serving up all types of dishes, plus a daily happy hour from 5pm. There is also a swimming pool, kids’ club and regular entertainment during the peak season.  A one-night stay costs from £94.57.

Also new at this site are the super cool CoCo Sweet one-bedroom tents.  These pretty tents are stylishly decorated and come with double beds, laminated flooring and a kitchen area.  There is plenty of space both inside and outside for relaxing and plenty of storage space. The tent can sleep up to four people and costs from £27.58 per night.

Mulino Pods

Located on farmland in the picturesque county of Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District is the brand new site, Mulino Pods. These exclusive retreats have amazing views and come with facilities including a mini kitchen area, cosy beds, outdoor firepit, barbecue and a private supply of drinking water.  There is also free wifi throughout the farm and with the site being dog friendly, visitors are also welcome to bring along their furry friends.

Other facilities include a shower room powered by solar and turbine energy, a dressing room area and an outdoor covered kitchen with all the usual cooking facilities.

For adventure and activity while visiting, there are cycle and walking routes on the doorstep plus a lovely local pub.

The pods cost from £220 for three nights.

Wardley Hill Campsite

Located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, this new six-acre site offers a choice of pitches for tents and motorhomes, or for something a little different two very quirky styles of glamping.

The Tentsile Connect tree tent is a new concept in camping, essentially offering the opportunity to sleep in a portable treehouse or floating tent.  It comes ready pitched and is accessed via a small rope ladder.  All visitors need to do is bring the rest of their usual camping kit.  A night in the tree tent costs from £41.50 and sleeps two.

For those who don’t have a head for heights, more traditional glamping is offered in the form of a Lotus belle tent. This fully-equipped tent sleeps two and costs from £70 per night.

Camper Área Campello Beach

This newly opened site is perfect for those looking for a taste of the Mediterranean in 2015 without the high costs.  Set up purely to appeal to those with their own campervan or motorhome, the site offers accommodation from only £11.03 per night!

The site is located just a short stroll from a beautiful beach and is within easy reach of towns including Campello, San Juan and Alicante. There are good amenities on site including shower and washing facilities, free wifi, a pétanque court and a picnic and barbecue area.
