Settle in for sea views from several corners of the site at Tyddyn Goronwy Camping Park in Gwynedd, in the seaside village of Tal-y-Bont and a couple of miles from the beaut beach at Barmouth. Pods and pitches here are flanked by sea and mountain views, and are within easy walking distance of the village, which has a takeaway and a riverside pub. Even closer is Talybont station, a couple of minutes' walk away and handy for outings to Barmouth beach or north to the peaks of Snowdonia. Showers, toilets and a washing-up area are available on site. The pitch price at Tyddyn Goronwy also includes a free leisure pass to its sister park Sunnysands Caravan Park, a short drive away, to use its heated indoor pool, café, fish and chip shop and other facilities – and you might want to stick around for the spectacular beachfront sunsets too.

Liked Stayed for two nights, camping.
A very basic site. We found the toilet/shower blocks in need of an update, and not very well looked after. Not particularly clean it has to be said.The water was hot though. Not keen on the one outside and uncovered washing up sink. Again, just left untouched except for anyone using it. The beach, which is always stunning wherever you stay was, we felt, just a bit too far, down a narrow lane. Not for us so wont be returning.

Camping pod (pet friendly)

Liked Good location, friendly helpful staff.

Disliked Shower/toilet block is really run down, mould in all the shower trays, extractor vents bunged up with dust, shower pipes hanging off the wall, cobwebs everywhere, mirrors all tatty, shower screen handle hanging off, hole in the wall of the ladies block and just outside washing up area there is an old wash station that has been dumped and looked like it had been there a while.

Liked Open site close to the beach, just a short walk down the Lane. The site is very close to the train station and handy to get to/from Barmouth. Ok toilet/shower block.

Disliked No obvious recycling. Whilst there was one dishwashing sink it was uncovered outside and a bit grim.

Liked we really loved this campsite absolutely recommend,great prices, the views are excellent as well as the beach being just down the road, clean toilets and showers chilled and peaceful place, it also has the train station right behind the pods which is very convient we liked watching them go by, great site will definitely be back 😁

Camping pod (no pets)

Liked This was a fantastic little campsite,we have just got back from staying in a pod for the weekend.the pod was great a lot bigger than we expected too and it was spotless.
Although the facilities are basic they are clean and meet your needs.
Great little hub just five mins walk away with a bar and a chippy and the ysgethin pub just up the road was lovely.
5 mins walk if that to the train station straight to Barmouth in ten mins.
The last on the campsite was lovely and very helpful.
The only thing I would recommend would be to take yourself an extension lead as the plug in the pod was above head hight by the door so if u wanted to plug a kettle etc in you might have a job without one.
Would definitely recommend and definitely be back.

Disliked Nothing really to dislike.
We got exactly what we paid for
