What customers say
Great spot near the beach with awesome sea and mountain views. Staff are super friendly and helpful, facilities are clean and pitches are spacious. Convenient for shops and train. Showers could use a refresh. Can get busy and noisy.

First time camping and so glad…
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked First time camping and so glad we chose here. The place was lovely, pitch was lovely. Short walk away from a beautiful beach, arcades and fish and chip shop on site. Shower blocks were what you expect on a campsite. So handy to have a train stop so close to head into Barmouth. We will definitely be returning.
Disliked None.

Liked Great site nice welcoming staff pitches all numbered so easy to find your allocated spot facilities good 5 minutes walk to bars and food outlets and the beach
Disliked The toilet block was very noisy with kids constantly running on the decking all hours of the night and could do with more than one washing up sink

From the manager: you will find it is considerably busier during summer holidays the sea view is amazing
Really good location and site, but site owner annoyed us.

Liked Nice flat pitch, beautiful views, 10 min drive to Barmouth, ablutions and wash up sink close by, clubhouse and beach a short walk away. Dogs allowed in one part of the clubhouse. Plenty for families to do with arcades, shops etc. Site is secure with someone on reception at peak times. No WiFi but that’s a good thing for us :) Dogs allowed on the beach, and a decent beach at that.
Disliked Ablutions limited with toilets, not cleaned often enough (once daily isn't enough on a busy campsite imo) and showers aren’t very strong. Rubbish wasn’t maintained well, the site needs more bins as rubbish wasn’t blowing around a lot.
The site owner made the rule of no charcoal BBQs. I understand with wildfire risk etc but many of us are responsible campers. Slightly annoying as these rules should be relayed before people book or arrive.
Also they informed us of a site rule of no dogs left in tents (even though it was in the evening, cool enough and dog was comfortable, safe and quiet as we went to the clubhouse for an hour). Had a call to come collect my dog while we was out. Again, pretty inconvenient when our dog was perfectly happy after being at the beach all day.

Over all disappointing in need of lots of upgrades and a cleaner
Camping pod (pet friendly)
Liked The location as always never fails to impress view lovely from the pods
Disliked After visiting this site with my family for over 10 years. This year has left us unlikely to return, it’s just run down toilet block needs massive upgrades, not cleaned as much as previous years where I would often seen a cleaner in and out. No cope in hand dispenser toilet roll just dumped on the floor of cubicles. Then toilet roll tubes left all over the floor due to no bin in toilets the shower cubicles where rotting at the bottom. And after booking an extra day via pitch up I was told I needed to move pods and my family who did the same in their tent where told to take down their tent and move it to another pitch . Obviously after a complaint to the manger this was resolved but just seemed very disorganised and stressful. TVs also removed from pods not a problem but was a nice little luxury for the kids in the mornings. Unfortunately after many happy years spent here we will be looking for another site for our mini brake next year.
