  • On the Lizard Peninsula with a huge range of family facilities
  • Indoor and outdoor heated pools; pirate-themed crazy golf; soft play
  • Activities including evening entertainment, family films, kids' clubs
Smugglers’ coves, gorgeous beaches, fishing ports and colourful market towns await you at this park on the Lizard Peninsula. Lizard Point Holiday Park (formerly known as Mullion Holiday Park) is a firmly family-friendly site, so there's a great selection of facilities, including heated outdoor (open from May to mid-September) and indoor pools (where visitors can also book in for PADI diving lessons), a plethora of sporting activities, modern bars and restaurants, and all-singing, all-dancing action in the entertainment club. The littlies will have a ball in the pools (and slides, chutes and tunnels) of the Crazy Caves soft play area, and the pirate-themed crazy golf course and outdoor adventure playground should provide gallons of giggles too. A kids' library, family film screenings and the assortment of goings on at the various kids’ clubs means there’s plenty to keep them occupied whatever the weather (although the Lizard is the most southerly point in the UK, so if it’s going to turn out nice anywhere, it should be here).

What customers say

Friendly staff, great value and ideal for exploring the Lizard. Families love the pool, clubhouse and kids' activities. Site generally clean, though some found facilities a bit dated and Wi-Fi poor. On-site food pricey for some.

Electric grass pitch

Liked All the staff friendly and a good space on site once we worked out where plots 20 was.

Disliked The plots not marked well on the croft as 20 to 22 missing the toilet block needs a little tlc as toilet handles coming loose. Payed for the WiFi but none on the croft, signal very bad to non existent. Would not pay again.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked There was plenty of space in the field we booked so lots of room for the little ones to run around.

Disliked The pitch was by he main road behind the trees which did mean a fair bit of noise and lights through the evening. The pitch was opposite the dog park so maybe avoid that area if your a light sleeper

Electric grass pitch

Liked cheap pitch price, good geographical proximity to the Lizard point, free heated indoor pool, friendly staff, lots of activities for children, nice large club house and bar.

Disliked price of everything, food drink activities etc. Toilet and shower block need updated, rats seen running around caravans and fields, lots of things in kids play park closed off like the slides.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The staff - everyone from the park warden to the entertainment staff were all friendly and helpful.

Location - great base to enjoy the coastal walks around the Lizard Peninsula.

Disliked The family/disabled toilet and shower room were not well signposted and not cleaned at all during our 3 day stay. The main shower blocks were though and the showers powerful and hot.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Location close to all shops and beaches
Easy to check in
Great site with all activities and entertainment
Due to not being able to use the allocated pitch they were very accommodating and moved us straight away to another field
Must visit the beautiful Kynance cove a quick 10 min drive away

Disliked The first pitch we were given was unusable pitch 13 Croft field this pitch is being used as an entry point into the field so the pitch is sipped in the middle from constant use in and out and couldn’t put our awning up as electric box was nowhere near the pitch the can would have had to be turned the other way
We were moved to the meadow which was much better but needs a washing facility for dishes near the toilets

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The campsite warden was nice. Clean toilets/showers although they’re portacabin toilets.

Disliked The fact that as “proper” campers you are completely forgotten about from reception who are hopeless and clueless. Simple cheap things could make huge improvements such as putting in a freezer for storing ice blocks. In all honesty the place would be better off just getting rid of the field they use for tents and put it all to hard standing for caravans and mobile homes. The pool was adequate but nothing much to write home about. What was really surprising was that we wanted to book activities for our toddler daughter that started at 10am so went to talk to reception who said they didn’t know anything about activities (they’re reception?? Surely it’s their job to know??) and told us to go to activities hub at 10 when they open so we couldn’t do the activities our daughter wanted to do. Softplay is advertised but then costs outrageous amount of money a day. As a Parkdean holiday we expected it to be family friendly and geared up for young kids but nothing starts to open until 9/10 and quiet time isn’t until 11pm which was great for the stag do staying in the field opposite us. All in all thoroughly disappointed and put off Parkdean for life.

Local attractions

The scenery around the park is stunning – not for nothing has the Lizard been given an official stamp as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – which makes for some spectacular clifftop walks. It's not far from Land's End or the rather lovely St Michael’s Mount either. The local Blue Flag beaches offer a good range of watersports, including kitesurfing and sea kayaking. Serious thrill seekers should check out the adventure centre at Lusty Glaze beach, where they can test their mettle with water, land and cliff activities. Many of Cornwall’s top family attractions are found nearby: potter among the plant life under the giant domes of the Eden Project, or head to Newquay Zoo or the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in the Helford Estuary for some close encounters of the animal kind. There are also animals at Crealy Theme Park, along with all sorts of shows and rides (including indoor options – handy for a damp day). If you’d like to uncover a bit more of the heritage of this Cornish corner, pay a visit to the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.
